Bottle Auction: Near mint GERMAN HOP BITTERS, READING, MICH.

Near mint GERMAN HOP BITTERS, READING, MICH. Bottle Auction Description: DESCRIPTION: Here is anice and scarce variant of the much more common Doyle's bottle. It's 9 ½" tall with a tooled top. What they did here was slug in the wordGERMAN instead of DOYLE'S, and added DR. WARNER'S and READING, MICH. However, for this variant, they also peenedout DR. WARNER'S and the hops picture, for whatever reason. This bottle is thus embossed on the shouldersGERMAN / HOP/ BITTERS / 1872. The sidesare, in order: DR.WARREN'S (peened out) / picture of hops (peened out) / READING, MICH./ (blank label panel). There are nochips, cracks, or stains, only a couple of scratches on the label panel. A tiny lip dip is in-the-making, not a chip. A fine example of a bottle mold which hasbeen through lots of alterations! Pleasesee my great bottles from many categories which will close on Monday, November2, 2015. SHIPPING: Shipping will be by Priority Mail with shippingweight between one and two pounds. Iwill combine items to save on shipping costs. RETURN POLICY: I'll gladly accept returns if items are not asdescribed.

JENY/Jenny LIND WHITNEY GLASSWORKS CALABASH FLASK BOTTLE GI-103 Iron Pontil Bottle Auction Description: This listing is for a collectible Jeny/Jenny Lind Calabash flask/bottle in a pretty Aquamarine color. I believe this bottle is a GI-103, from the Whitney Glassworks, South Jersey USA, Circa 1845-1865.- Jeny Lind's portrait (spelled JENY) is on one side and a two-story factory house on reverse side - There are laurel branches that arch up the sides of her portrait but do not touch at the top above her head- There is no writing on the factory house side - The smoke from chimney is pointing down and bottle has vertically ribbed edges and sides- No surface wear, just some bubbles in glass- It has a applied collared mouth and a large iron pontil mark on baseMEASUREMENTS: 10 tall by aprox 6 inches wide.Thank you or your interest. Please ask questions if you have them, and let me know if you would like more photographs.~ LoriOn Oct-11-15 at 12:32:26 PDT, seller added the following information:The last photo shows the most accurate bottle color. It was taken in full sun.On Oct-11-15 at 18:00:55 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE READ!!!!I cannot update my listing, so I am posting this new description here.I have been notified today (Oct. 11, 2015) that this Jeny Lind flask bottle might be from the Ravenna Glasswork, in Ravenna, Ohio, vs. the Whitney Glassworks. I was advised that the G1-103 has shingles on the roof of the factory house. My bottle does not have these shingles. I am still trying to find an example of a G1-104, but I wanted to post this information ASAP. I am not a antique glass expert. I tried my best to do my research on this piece before listing it. Please note If the 4 current bidders I have now (as of Oct 11, at 6pm PST) want to retract their bids, please do.Sincerely,Lori

Bottle Auction: Pattern Mold - Sunken Top Vintage Light Blue Ink Bottle with Pontil

Pattern Mold - Sunken Top Vintage Light Blue Ink Bottle with Pontil Bottle Auction Description: Up for bid is a SUPER nice old light blue Free Blown Pattern Mold with Pontil Sunken Top Ink Bottle. 2 inches tall by 1 5/8 inches round. Bottle was found in the old city of Colon, Panama. I am not certain of the date of this bottle, but I would estimate mid-1800s. Although dug, this bottle is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. See photos. I would think this bottle was used by a well off man or woman because of it's style. Glass is very clear with whittle marks when blown with nice vertical ribbing pattern and a many tiny bubbles. I suspect this as being created in a pattern mold. The pontil has not been refined smooth, but rough in areas. The old city of Colon was created when the 1855 Panama Railroad was being constructed and had quite a population of mixed levels of influence. When the railroad was completed, many Gold Rush 49ers would arrive in Colon by boat and transit to the Pacific coat via the railroad on their way to CaliforniaThis is an extremely nice addition to your bottle collection or as a curio décor in your home. Please contact me with any questions prior to bidding.I only mail in the US states.Thank you for looking.

Bottle Auction: VIRGINA- Rockbridge Alum Water, BIG & BEAUTIFUL-BLUE GREEN. SPARKLING!

VIRGINA- Rockbridge Alum Water, BIG & BEAUTIFUL-BLUE GREEN. SPARKLING! Bottle Auction Description: In our 42 years of Bottle Collecting we used to see these big and beautiful Va. Mineral Waters now and then, but not in recent years. None of the big bottle auctions, shows or ebay have had one for sale... that is, until now. BRIGHT & SHINY, WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER THIS BIG, BLUE & BEAUTIFUL SPRING WATER WILL COMMAND LOTS OF ATTENTION ON YOUR SHELF!!/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// MERCHANDISE DETAILSGENERAL DESCRIPTIONJudging from the character, including the heavily applied square collar, this smooth base VIRGINIA mineral water would probably be 1870's-80's. This HUGE, squat bottle measures 4-1/2" D. X 9-7/16" H. and no doubt held more than a quart of tasty(?)ALUM WATER. Reserve- A reasonable 3-figure reserve is set to protect our investment.COLOR The color is a STRONG, MEDIUM BLUE-GREEN. The shade is deep enough to really stand-out, back-lit or not. Pics were taken in North daylight for accuracy of color.CONDITIONDisplaying as mint, this lightly cleaned beauty shows only a few light scratches here and there. It does have a right-rear lip abrasion that can be felt, but has to be looked for to be seen. Over-magnified in the last pic, it's only 1/4" in length and 1/16" deep. There are NO fish-eyes, pot stones, wear, cracks, bruises, dings, stain or etching, so we don't think it was a dug bottle. CHARACTER There's a gentle, rolling "whittle" pattern to the glass throughout. The heavy applied collar is very crude and the neck has lots of tooling lines & stretch marks. There's quite a few bubbles especially up in the shoulder. TERMS & CONDITIONSPAYMENTPlease pay within 3 days of auction closing. Prompt payment receives fast shipping, often the same or very next business day. We accept Paypal and other forms of payment(please ask). Please wait for OUR invoice(not Ebays) before paying, as insurance cost for value over $50 is the responsibility of the buyer. PACKING & SHIPPINGWe have lots of experience packing and shipping antique bottles and glass, using bubble wrap and "peanuts" where needed. We ship USPS, Priority insured. Canada, Australia & New Zealand bidders must accept shipment via PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL so that your purchase can be insured.RETURNS Antique and vintage items are rarely 100% "mint", having very minor flaws or at least an in-use patina. We go to great lengths to exhaustively describe our merchandise and it's condition, including these very minor imperfections, whether in-the-making or post-manufacture. All sales are final, unless in the opinion of the seller, we have made an error or omission that significantly detracts from the value of the item sold. If in doubt, please ASK QUESTIONS. We like questions because we want you to be satisfied with your purchase, receiving exactly what you expected!

Bottle Auction: 18th Century AMBER 1/2 size Flowerpot Style Bottle!

18th Century AMBER 1/2 size Flowerpot Style Bottle! Bottle Auction Description: Here is a VERY early bottle, likely mid-18th century. It is of an unusual form, and I believe, in a rare size. 8 3/4" overall height with 5" of that neck! Nice amlost pure amber color, and LOADED with bubbles throughout, some long stretched ones twisting through the neck. Not sure if this bottle is Continental, French, Dutch or early Colonial American... all I know is that it is early and has wonderful character! Other than some typical (and expected) exterior scratches, this one is in fine condition. Considering this may well be 250+ years old, it is a magnificent and well-preserved gem! I fully guarantee authenticity. Very EARLY amber 1/2 size "flowerpot" style bottle!! Buyer pays shipping. 7 day return policy if not as described. Please check out our other listingsGOOD LUCK!
