Bottle Auction: HALL'S BITTERS BOTTLE E.E. HALL NEW HAVEN ESTABLISHED 1842 REPLACED TOP

HALL'S BITTERS BOTTLE E.E. HALL NEW HAVEN ESTABLISHED 1842 REPLACED TOP Bottle Auction Description: Here we have a bright yellow amber Hall's Bitters bottle. The reverse side is embossed E.E. Hall New Haven Established 1842. The top one this one has been replaced, the funny thing is that the new top has two chips, you would think maybe a top without chips would be more appropriate...who knows!? The color of the top is also more of a reddish amber, just to complete the package. Still a purty and displayable bottle. It looks like there is still some dirt in the bottle, it would probably brighten up a bit when washed and brushed out properly. Height is 9 inches.

Bottle Auction: Beautiful 1850s "J.M. FARINA / COLOGNE" Open Pontil Bottle

Beautiful 1850s "J.M. FARINA / COLOGNE" Open Pontil Bottle Bottle Auction Description: Beautiful 1850s "J.M. FARINA / COLOGNE" Open Pontil Bottle Here's one of the nicer examples of this very early cologne bottle that we've seen. Embossing reads: "J.M. FARINA / COLOGNE" on one panel. It was hand blown into a two piece six sided mold in clear glass, circa 1850s. Has a sheared lip and a concave base with a open pontil. Size is 4-3/8" tall x 2" wide. The glass has some great character being whittled and a pleasing light lavender color. Has been lightly cleaned inside & out and looks great. NO chips, cracks, damage or repairs. This is a really nice looking old cologne bottle. NO RESERVE ! Farina settled in Cologne, Germany in the year 1709 where he founded Farina gegenüber, the world's oldest perfume factory still in existence. His subtle fragrance Eau de Cologne became rapidly famous worldwide and in the 18th century was an indispensable accessory at all royal courts. The perfume maker chose to call his perfume after his new home town so as to honor it. Indeed, at the time when Farina first moved to Cologne, there were very strict laws regarding foreign settlers. Farina was granted citizenship and, in order to show off his gratitude, he named his very first creation Eau de Cologne (lit. French: "Water of Cologne"). This perfume, being a real sensation at the time, contributed to Cologne's global fame. Buyer pays $6.85 Postal Service Priority Mail shipping, Packaging, Tracking in the U.S. Insurance optional, buyer assumes all shipping liability for uninsured items. Bottle Auction: EARLY New England sided utility bottle! 8-sided, green, pontil.

EARLY New England sided utility bottle! 8-sided, green, pontil. Bottle Auction Description: This week I have a nice selection of early bottles and flasks, please take a moment to check them out. Here is a very nice EARLY utilitarian (utility) or small medicine bottle, probably from a New England glasshouse. This one could be 18th century, and as early as the colonial-era Germantown factory in Braintree, MA, or it could be the Pitkin Glassworks in the Hartford, CT area. My guess is that it is 1770-1820 era. It is considered an 8-sided vessel, however, it is technically square with chamfered corners. Either way, it is a SCARCE and desirable form! This primitive piece is a bubble-filled olive green glass and made from a dip mold. You can see all of the mold texture in the glass! The base has a nice open pontil scar, and an early collection sticker. I suppose this one has been in many collections over the decades. It has spent the past few years on my shelf! Height is around 5" tall. Condition displays perfect, however, there is a small area (3/8") that looks to have an epoxy fill. This is a wonderful piece of primitive Americana! Nice colored utility, excellent glass clarity, and displays beautifully! I fully guarantee authenticity. An early 18th century open pontil New England SIDED utility bottle! Buyer pays shipping. 7 day return policy if not as described. Please check out our other listingsGOOD LUCK!

MINT! Open Pontil Aquamarine GIII-8 Keene, NH Cornucopia Urn 1/2PT Flask C.1830 Bottle Auction Description: CORNUCOPIA - URN, (McK#GIII-8), strong bluish aquamarine, pontil scar, half-pint, sheared and firepolished mouth, mint. American, probablyblown at a New England Glass House, C. 1830, scarce color. Of the relatively fewaquamarine examples I have seen blown in this mold, all exhibit the bubblyglass and pebbly surface texture and seen here. Bottle Auction: Jesse Moore Old Bourbon whiskey bottle, old eastern applied top variant, antlers

Jesse Moore Old Bourbon whiskey bottle, old eastern applied top variant, antlers Bottle Auction Description: Jesse Moore eastern amber Old Bourbon whiskey with applied top and whittling of the glass. The bottle is embossed "J Moore Old Bourbon" with the "trade mark" vertically between the antlers. The bottle is in excellent condition with no residue or sickness inside. In the photo showing the bottom, there is a air space or downward depression shown on the bottom of the photo that was formed in the making. In the last two photos a large seed shaped bubble can be seen in the upper right. The photo does not do justice to the whittling of the glass.
