Bottle Auction: John Ryan Excelsior Mineral Water, Savannah, GA., Iron Pontil Original Condition

John Ryan Excelsior Mineral Water, Savannah, GA., Iron Pontil Original Condition Bottle Auction Description: Here is a nice iron pontil soda in a nice rich cobalt blue color. It is embossed "JOHN RYAN EXCELSIOR MINERAL WATER, SAVANNAH, GA" on the front and "UNION GLASS WORKS, PHILADA, THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD" on the reverse. This soda came from the collection of the late Rusty Frye, who had the finest group of Southern sodas ever assembled. This soda has never been professionally cleaned, for those who prefer their bottles in original condition. It has light overall ground wear and inside stain, but no damage of any kind. Of course, the bottle would tumble to near mint condition, if the buyer chose to do so.

Bottle Auction: Very Rare Western Bitters- Light Yellow- Bennet's

Very Rare Western Bitters- Light Yellow- Bennet's Bottle Auction Description: Here is a very rare San Francisco bitters in an extremely rare light yellow color. My photo's do not come close to showing how light yellow this square actually is. We cannot seem to get a sunny day to accurately depict the color, but I assure you it is much lighter than the photos. Ok...this square has a crude applied top and smooth base, circa late 1870's. Embossing reads " Bennet's Celebrated Stomach Bitters, and JOS. N. Souther Sole Proprietor's, San Francisco". The embossing is bold, and the condition is gem mint. Not one scratch or condition issue. Height is 9" and as mentioned, the color is YELLOW, with hardly any trace of amber. I have only seen two in this color including this one. The buyer will love this bottle! Buyer to pay $10.85 postage in the continental US. Good Luck!

Bottle Auction: Electric Cobalt Blue - Jerome's Hair Restorer!!!!

Electric Cobalt Blue - Jerome's Hair Restorer!!!! Bottle Auction Description: JEROME'S//HAIR COLOR//RESTORER Exciting electric cobalt blue!!! Flared lip, smooth base and 6 1/4" High. I believe this to be the same bottle that sold at public auction on 12/08 for $1232.00 and again on 03/12 for $1093.00. (Prices realized from the latest auction report). I can find no other examples listed in any shade of blue. This is a dug and cleaned bottle with a few minor ground imperfections remaining. There are examples listed of this bottle in shades other than blue that are pontiled - so this is clearly an early bottle. Hammered with whittle and in a color you are sure to love!! Could this be the only surviving cobalt blue example of this bottle?? It's certainly a possibility. Miscellaneous: A flat ten dollar fee covers shipping and full insurance. I have never had negative feedback and hope to never have any. Each bottle is inspected and represented as accurately as humanly possible. Bottle Auction: Syracuse Springs Excelsior Mineral Water Bottle Pint Scarce NY Amber Saratoga

Syracuse Springs Excelsior Mineral Water Bottle Pint Scarce NY Amber Saratoga Bottle Auction Description: We offer an exceptionally nice Syracuse Springs Excelsior pint mineral water bottle for your consideration. This bottle is bright and clean with no chips or cracks. There is one very narrow (1/16" wide) light content stain ring that runs about 2/3 of the way around the bottle. Again, this is very narrow and fairly faint. I think it may possibly wash out with a proper bottle brush because the ring doesn't go all the way around the bottle. Hard to say. In my opinion it detracts very little from the bottle, but I like to try to call everything. I tried to capture the ring in a photo but it was too faint. This is a pretty scarce bottle and would make a great addition to any mineral or spring water bottle collection. The amber color is rich and the bottle sparkles. Lucky buyer adds $8.50 shipping please.

Bottle Auction: Buena Vista Colorado J. Reed Rare Western Mining Town Hutchinson Soda Bottle

Buena Vista Colorado J. Reed Rare Western Mining Town Hutchinson Soda Bottle Bottle Auction Description: Up for your consideration today is a very rare Colorado mining town Hutchinson soda bottle. This rare Western Hutchinson soda bottle is embossed in a round slug plate J. Reed Buena Vista Colo. Bottling Works. This Hutchinson was blown in a beautiful darker blue aqua glass and is in fantastic condition. This is an attic found bottle and has never been any where near the ground. There are a couple of little things to report on. The first is a small pot stone in the back side of the bottle that has a tiny cooling line across it and a little radiation around it. I have shown this in pictures #7 and #8. This has been there since the bottle was made and has never moved in all the years that I have owned it. there is a tiny open skin bubble the size of a pin head on the right front shoulder. this bubble is right on top of a little olive green swirl in the bottle so it is almost impossible to see. I have tried to show this in picture #9 and #10. There is a tiny pin prick above the R in the word Reed above the slug plate on the front of the bottle. There are two areas of wear on the shoulder of the bottle that I have shown in pictures #9 and #10 also. One on the right front shoulder in front of the mold line, and the other on the left rear shoulder behind the mold line. This must have been wear from a case as it is uniform and exactly opposite of each other. I am being very critical on my description of the damage on this rare bottle because I want the new owner to be happy with the piece and not be unsatisfied with their purchase. With that said, I think you would look long and hard before you ever found a better example of this rare bottle. Most of the ones known are dug examples that have ground wear and stain and still show signs of wear even after they have been professionally cleaned. I say again, this is an attic bottle found in North West Missouri that has no stain and never been buried or cleaned. It sparkles and is a top shelf piece. Don't miss your chance to add this rare Colorado mining town Hutchinson soda to your collection. A better example may never show up. This bottle has what I feel is a reasonable reserve on it and has a buy it now option also. The bottle will ship priority mail insured. Thanks for looking and have fun.
