Bottle Auction: YELLOW GREEN JOHN RYAN GINGERALE, SAVANNAH, GA, RARE COLOR!!

YELLOW GREEN JOHN RYAN GINGERALE, SAVANNAH, GA, RARE COLOR!! Bottle Auction Description: FOLKS, I'M BAAAAAAAACK AFTER A 9 MO. HIATUS WITH SOME NICE BOTTLES FOR THE NEW YEAR. This week I'm offering a RARE yellow-green John Ryan Gingerale soda bottle from Savannah, Georgia. This is a nice example of a rare color, tho not without some minor faults. Will get into that first....the top edge of the lip down to 1/8" inside the lip has been lightly buffed, probably to smooth some lip roughness. There are two fisheye bruises, one over the other on the side of the lip and an area of light flaking where the rust from the bottle closure extends up onto the lip surface. None of this is distracting, but is there nevertheless. Be sure and check out my photos carefully. There is a small, open bubble on the side of the bottle. This bottle is approx. 7 1/4" tall, yellow green in color and in overall nice condition. This particular color is very tough to find in the John Ryan gingerale bottles. Bid today to add it to your bottle holdings. Good luck!!Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

Bottle Auction: Vintage Owl Drug cobalt POISON bottle w/ orange paper label

Vintage Owl Drug cobalt POISON bottle w/ orange paper label Bottle Auction Description: I apologize for ending the previous listing of this bottle but two things happened that changed the item - one bad, one good. The cork stopper came loose and was destroyed. I can include the pieces of the cork stopper if you want them please say so... The tiny label that had been attached to the main label was found.Otherwise the condition is the same as when originally listed. Bottle itself is approx, 4.5 inches high base to lip and approx. 2 inches wide on a side. The embossed POISON lettering is approx.2.25" long by approx. 1/2 inch high. The label is approx. 2.5 inches highby 3.5 inches wide. The orange and white paper label is intact but shows age/wear. Bottle and is being sold "AS IS". See pictures regarding stains on the label. I see no chips or flaws on bottle. I'm sure this is a vintage bottle and probably antique based on the current use of the word but I am no expert and can NOT authenticate it as pre 1900's.According to Google and Facebook sources The Owl Drug Co. started in San Francisco in the late 1880s. The triangular shape and distinctive color were early attempts to protect patients from mistaking a poisonous substance by both sight and touch. The large rectangular paper label is firmly attached but has irregular discolorations (see pictures). One runs from top to bottom on front of labelprimarily from just to left of owl. Sides of label are also discolored. On theowl side there are small wear marks in label where applied over embossed mortarrim and over edge of the cursive writing. The tiny label that was glued on to the main label became detached and I took a picture of it through a magnifier. I lightened the resulting photo so it can be read. This bottle is probably from the Owl store that was at 4029 Piedmont Ave Oakland, CA. Without magnification and photoediting this label is unreadable printed in red ink, discolored and faded with age. There is a fine rectangular line boxing in the label's text. This small label is NOT attached to the bottle. The space the small label was in is near the bottom of the label where there's a lighter colored area. The label itselfmeasures approximately 1.625 inches by 1/2 inch. The corners on it are dogearred. Again see photos. To repeat, the cork stopper, which shows in some photos, crumbled. The smallestlabel is detached. The largest label is firmly attached. To avoid complications, please ask any questions before making your bid. Some photos have been lightened to show details because dark blue is difficult to photograph. If desired, insurance will be obtained at buyer's expense. Bottle Auction: EARLY Newton's Soda or Mineral Water! Green with Iron pontil!

EARLY Newton's Soda or Mineral Water! Green with Iron pontil! Bottle Auction Description: I haven't had much experience with these soda, beer or water bottles, but this one looks like a nice CRUDE early example! This one is boldly embossed, "NEWTON'S / SODA & MINERAL / WATERS / NEW YORK" on one side, and "PREMIUM" on the other. Wonderful whittled texture around the bottle, tons of little seed bubbles, deep graphite (or iron) pontil, and a single tapered top. The color is a medium green, maybe a touch of yellowish green? Embossing is good and strong. This one has very little ground wear, in really good shape. It also was never cleaned and still retains good iron on the base. There is a small bruise in the lip, and it looks like there is a very small flake that is filled. I bought the piece as perfect, but it is not. It is likely a pretty rare one though, as I can't find much info. It also has a very early look!A Rare EARLY "Newton's Soda & Mineral Waters" bottle... 1850s! Wonderful color!!Buyer pays shipping. 7 day return policy if not as described. Please check out our other listingsGOOD LUCK!
