Bottle Auction: Nice colored, nice form ONION bottle! 18th century!

Nice colored, nice form ONION bottle! 18th century! Bottle Auction Description: Here is a nice early squatty ONION bottle, probably 1750-1760s? Not sure where this one is from, I would assume it is DUTCH, however it is quite different from your typical onion. The color is a pleasing medium green, or yellowish green, and it has lots of bubbles throughout. The lip is even different with this nicely exaggerated applied string lip. Open pontil base, and some wear. This was purchased from a Boston estate auction. This one is wonderful condition! It has some wear, and interior residue, but it is not as rough as so many of the "shipwreck" bottles from this era. It really is a cool find, and would be a great bottle for your early glass and artifacts / relics collection!Guaranteedauthentic, and as described. On Dec-26-16 at 06:18:48 PST, seller added the following information:What I thought was dirt, looks to be a small bruise. I have photographed this up close.

Bottle Auction: Antique Bitters bottle ~TURNER BROTHERS NEW YORK, BUFFALO, SAN FRANCISCO ~Crude!

Antique Bitters bottle ~TURNER BROTHERS NEW YORK, BUFFALO, SAN FRANCISCO ~Crude! Bottle Auction Description: Here's a killer top example of the square TURNER BROTHERS NEW YORK, BUFFALO, NY. & SAN FRANCISCO, CAL bitters bottle. This one has it all: Incredible glass texture, super strong embossing, extreme overall whittling, bubbles, never been tumbled.... and is a rarer coloration. A dark tobacco amber that shows well in natural sunlight. I took the photos in my window in the middle of a sunny day. These square Turner Brothers bottles contained Forest Wine Bitters. This example is smooth base and was dug in the Ca. Gold Country in Nevada City about 20 yrs ago. I really hate to let this one go, and am sure that the winning bidder is going to love this extra crude and unusually colored Turners !!9 1/2" tall.Winner to pay $19.85 shipping, which includes the insurance.

Bottle Auction: "The Best" Pontil Era Applied Top Smith's Green Mountain Renovator VERMONT

"The Best" Pontil Era Applied Top Smith's Green Mountain Renovator VERMONT Bottle Auction Description: ITEM 10052. "S.SMITH / GREEN MOUNTAIN RENOVATOR / EAST GEORGIA VT," strong bluish aquamarine, oval, smooth base, 7 7/16"H, applied sloping collar, mint. American, C. 1875. A rare bottle. In the twenty-five or so years that we have bought, sold and collected Vermont bottles this is one of few examples of this bottlewe have encountered and among them, the finest. When seen, the so-called "vertically embossed East Georgia Smiths" istypically finished with an applied square collar. The sloping collar found on this example ismore pleasing to the eye, as is the unusually crude and bubbly glass texturethat is quite unlike those others we have seen.

Bottle Auction: 8 Sided Pontiled, Burrows Infants Friend. Albany, NY.

8 Sided Pontiled, Burrows Infants Friend. Albany, NY. Bottle Auction Description: Up for bids here with no reserve, is this aqua 4.25" 8 sided Pontiled Medicine, with a thin flared lip. Its embossed on 3 panels, BURROWS / INFANTS FRIEND / ALBANY NY. The base measures 1.25" across. The only book I found a listing for it in, was Matt Knapp's 2012 Antique Medicine Collectors Reference and Price Guide. He lists it as rare, only mentions a rolled lip varient. This is a Dug bottle, with some over-all light ground stain. There is one small chip from the lip, that faces back. I tried to show it well. Just a slight bit of roughness under the lip in another spot. No heavy scratches, cracks, or open bubbles. All corners are nick free. I took plenty of pictures, which you can enlarge. Been collecting, and dealing in bottles in the Albany area for awhile now, and this was the first of these, I or some of my friends had seen. If you have any questions please ask. Take a minute to check out my other auctions. I have two other bottles that may be of interest to you that I plan to list tonight. One of them pontiled. Always happy to combine multiple wins in one box. All of my auctions are as described and pictured, or your money back. Thanks for looking, and good luck if you bid.
