Bottle Auction: Eagle Cornucopia amber olive pint flask open pontil

Eagle Cornucopia amber olive pint flask open pontil Bottle Auction Description: Here is a great pint Eagle Cornucopia flask. Open pontil base and sheared lip. Has nice olive tones when held to the light. No damage just high point wear and honest base wear. It rocks back and forth if you try to stand her upright. This most likely led to it being on placed on its side for most of the time. It would look killer with some back lighting in a cabinet. Any questions feel free to ask. I package items very well and will combine items when possible. If you would like to insure an item let me know before you check out so I can adjust the shipping costs, delivery confirmation is included. Other payment methods can be arranged. Bottle Auction: John Heil & Co, NEW ORLEANS Confederate in Battle of Sharpsburg,Iron Pontil soda

John Heil & Co, NEW ORLEANS Confederate in Battle of Sharpsburg,Iron Pontil soda Bottle Auction Description: JOHN HEIL & CO, Early New Orleans SodaUp for sale is this hard to find early iron pontil taper top soda or mineral water bottle, embossed "JOHN HEIL & Co, MINERAL WATER." John Heil was a Confederate Soldier in the sixth Louisiana Regiment who died in combat in the battle of Antietam. (This is also documented in the Daily Picayune, a New Orleans newspaper, dated October 29, 1862.) The Battle of Antietam, also known as the Battle of Sharpsburg, particularly in the South, was fought on Wednesday, September 17, 1862, near Sharpsburg, Maryland, at Antietam Creek, as part of the Maryland Campaign. It was the first major battle in the American Civil War to take place on Union soil. This battle was the bloodiest single-day battle in American history, with 22,717 dead, wounded and missing on both sides combined. Although the battle was tactically inconclusive, it had significance as enough of a victory to give President Abraham Lincoln the confidence to announce his Emancipation Proclamation, which discouraged the British and French governments from potential plans for recognition of the Confederacy. This soda is in great very near mint condition for such a hard to find dug Southern Soda, professionally lightly cleaned with good results by a well known expert cleaner. It still is retaining some relatively minor wear and scratches, including a larger one at the shoulder above the embossing and some smaller ones on the reverse, some minor roughness/scratching on the side of the lip and neck, and a very tiny chip, less than 1/16 inch, on the top of the lip that we note in the interest of being obsessively accurate with our listings. Please see photos and captions and let us know if you need more or need more information. Unusual early 3 or 4 piece mold, note picture showing that, too! Quite a scarce soda, the first one of these we've obtained. Beautiful blue aqua color, nice glass with bubbles and crudity.Again, we'll be offering some great bottles and glass, this piece starting at just $1.00 with no reserve and FREE SHIPPING and in the USA! Bottle Auction: BOYD & BEARD MINERAL WATER nice pontil and color

BOYD & BEARD MINERAL WATER nice pontil and color Bottle Auction Description: Here is a nice green pontiled mineral water bottle embossed BOYD & BEARD MINERAL WATER on front and B THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD on rear. Stands 6 1/2" tall and with an applied tapered top. When I purchased the bottle some 10 years ago I was told it was lightly cleaned. There are no chips or cracks but light scratches and light casewear to the embossing do remain. A spot of ground wear, pictured, has a few very small flea bites type nicks and there is a scratch above the Y in BOYD. It must have had a very light cleaning or perhaps a light hand polishing not sure. Trying to be totally accurate with description and want no one to be disappointed. Not that you will be. With all that said, it has better than average color and sure to please. Any question please ask. Insurance and delivery confirmation included in shipping cost. Thanks for looking.

Bottle Auction: Francis Dusch Blob Top Cobalt blue rare mid-1800's soda bottle

Francis Dusch Blob Top Cobalt blue rare mid-1800's soda bottle Bottle Auction Description: Up for auction is a Francis .Dusch cobalt blue soda bottle possibly from the mid 1800's. This bottle is heavy and so thick and is such a deep blue that it is very difficult to photograph. I have another Francis Dusch in my collection that is much more transparent. I have never seen such a deep, dense blue. The bottle is 7 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches across at its base. Embossed on its front it reads: FRANCIS.DUSCH. Below it reads: THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD. When measuring the depth of the base of the bottle, it varies from 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick. You may be able to see this thickness in the second photograph. There is no letter on the bottom of the bottle, just a raised "X" as seen in the last photo. There are no cracks or chips in the bottle. There are many scratches. I am guessing this bottle was underwater, perhaps rolling in sand to get that effect. The white on the front of the bottle is a barnacle or some other remnant of sea life remaining. Bubbles are present, but are very difficult to see. Before bidding, please carefully examine thephotos. When you place your bid, you areagreeing to purchase the item "as is." The bottles in my listings are vintage and/or antique bottles that havebeen collected for years and are not perfect. Some have been "dug," some were "under water." I even found one with atree trunk growing around it. Others look like they were just made.If you have any questions, please let me know andI'll be happy to answer to the best of my ability, or photograph from adifferent angle. It is not my intentionto try to hide blemishes or defects. Allsales are final. My shipping and handling includes the actualshipping charged by the USPS based on priority mail service with deliveryconfirmation using the weight and dimensions of your package as well as a smallpacking/handling cost based on the cost of bubble wrap, tape and other packingmaterials to be sure your bottle doesn't break.ALL BUYERS:I only ship to the United States.I only accept PayPal payments.I only ship to registered PayPal addresses, by that I mean an addressthat accompanies the PayPal statement.I ship within two (2) days of receiving full payment in PayPal, oftensooner.

Bottle Auction: Rare Western Glob Top Whiskey- Fleckenstein-Mayer

Rare Western Glob Top Whiskey- Fleckenstein-Mayer Bottle Auction Description: Here is a very rare and crude western glob top whiskey fifth. This is the first example of this bottle that I have seen offered publicly in many years. These are very rare with maybe 10-12 known in collections, and unlike the majority of these, has strong whittle effect. Most are very plain and lack character...not this one! Boldly embossed " Fleckenstein & Mayer ( monogram), Portland, Oregon" this lighter amber fifth is a pristine beauty. The embossing is bold and crisp, and the entire bottle has nice whittle effect, and a crudely applied top. It is certainly one of the top specimens in crudity, and condition. This is a fresh find and new to the market. I have seen two with a bit nicer color, but they lacked the crudity that this example exhibits. Circa 1882, this is an upgrade for most collections. Never cleaned, just washed out with soap and water, no damage save for a super light scratch or two, this is about as good as it gets for a rare western whiskey. I will cover postage in the continental US. Good luck!

Bottle Auction: Odd Embossing Ca.1860s Green Iron Pontil Old Dr Townsends Sarsaparilla NY Bottle

Odd Embossing Ca.1860s Green Iron Pontil Old Dr Townsends Sarsaparilla NY Bottle Bottle Auction Description: Odd Embossing Ca. 1860s Green Iron Pontil Old Dr Townsends Sarsaparilla New York BottleUP FOR AUCTION:A great looking, hard to find, and oddly embossed Sarsaparilla bottle. The bottle is square form with an applied tapered blob top and an iron pontil underneath. In case the lettering is too difficult to read with the whittle, the bottle is embossed "Old Dr Townsends" with a line under the R and trailing S, "Sarsaparilla", and "New. York." This is an embossing variant we haven't been able to find in any documentation. Bottle is ca. 1860s, for medical purposes, remedy for skin and blood disorders typically. Thick green (hint of blue) heavy glass bottle, prominent whittle, crudely made, measures 9 3/4" tall and 3" square at the bottom. Compare size and color with other items (Not Included!!) in the last photo.Condition on the bottle is great! Recently recovered from attic storage, has the dried out cork still, No chips, cracks, or stains, quite crude and bubbly. On a bottom corner, I do see a pin point size potstone with a pin head size bubble or bruise surrounding it, from manufacture I believe. Fine HTF Townsends bottle that would be a colorful & unusual addition to your collection!!! Careful packing, quick ShippingPlease stay tuned: See our other auctions and BUY IT NOW for more neat stuff!
