Bottle Auction: Dr Townsend's Sarsaparilla. Albany NY. Iron Pontil

Dr Townsend's Sarsaparilla. Albany NY. Iron Pontil Bottle Auction Description: I've been consigned a small group of Bottles from Albany New York to sell on Ebay for a friend. He has chosen to do reserves on some, and not on others. this is a nicely whittled, medium blue green (leaning to the green side) DR. TOWNSENDS / SARSAPARILLA / ALBANY NY. It measures just shy of 10" tall, and is 3" across the base. Its got a nice crude applied lip, and best of all, is the Iron Pontil. I think its referred to as a Clover leaf Pontil. Its square in the center, and has 4 spots of residue remaining around it. There is some expected light base wear to mention. The beveled corner on the Sarsaparilla panel has a really cool mold repair. conditionwise its a great example. I looked it over well, and could only find a few minor light scratches, and a wisp of haze inside. Hardly noticable. No chips, cracks, dings, or repairs. Over-all, a nice crude example. Any questions welcome. 7 day return, if not as described. Payment is expected within 5 days of invoice. I use Priority Mail shipping, and the first 50 dollars of insurance is included. Over and above that will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please take a minute to check out my other auctions for some other bottles from this group. I will gladly pack multiple wins to save on Shipping when possible. Thanks for looking, and good luck if you bid.

Bottle Auction: Odd Colored Open Pontil Blacking Bottle/Somewhere Between Forest And Olive Green

Odd Colored Open Pontil Blacking Bottle/Somewhere Between Forest And Olive Green Bottle Auction Description: For your viewing/bidding enjoyment, here's another open pontiled blacking in a green coloration. These are usually seen only in amber. It is unusual to see one in a true green. I would describe the color as something between an olive & forest green. Bottle is square in shape and measures 4 5/8 inches tall by 1 5/8 inches wide. It has beveled edges and a perfect sheared top. The body of this blacking is nicely whittled and crude. Check out the sharp tubular pontil scar at the center of the base!!! Condition is pristine!!! Absolutely no condition issues to be accurate about here!!! It would be hard to imagine a nicer example out there!!! If you want the best, here it is!!! Would make a wonderful addition to that early utility or blacking collection, so don't miss out!!! Bottle is guaranteed authentic/as described. Full refund for any undescribed damage. Good luck!!!
