Bottle Auction: NICE GREENISH AQUA QUART-- THE MAGIC STAR FRUIT JAR--

NICE GREENISH AQUA QUART-- THE MAGIC STAR FRUIT JAR-- Bottle Auction Description: FRESH OUT OF THE BARN Up for bid is this nice The Magic Star Fruit Jar. The jar is in good shape, it only has a small 1/4 chip out of the ground rim as seen in the pictures, not to bad considering how old this jar is. The jar has a nice greenish look to it, more greenish than aqua, the jar is nice and clean. The lid on this jar reads Clamp Pat March 30th 1886 and is clear in color, the clamp is a repo as are many on these jars. Overall a nice jar, these jars are getting hard to find, a nice one to add to any collection. Please ask any question if need be. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Bottle Auction: Spectacular & Early "SODA WATER" Egg/Torpedo - GREEN

Spectacular & Early "SODA WATER" Egg/Torpedo - GREEN Bottle Auction Description: Spectacular & Early "SODA WATER" Egg/Torpedo - GREEN This fantastic early soda water bottle has been a top shelf item in an old bottle collection for may years. This is an outstanding example of early bottle glass blowing in both color and form. Embossing reads: "SODA WATER" across the face in sharply embossed lettering. It was hand blown into a two part mould in a beautiful forest green colored glass, circa 1850s. Has an applied ring top atop the egg or torpedo shaped body. Simply gorgeous whittled crude pristine glass that is NOT tumbled or polished. I can find no fault with this excellent example, there's not even a trace of any wear. NO chips, cracks, nicks, scratches, stain or repairs. You'd have a hard time finding a nicer example than this fine bottle. The winning bidder is going to be extremely pleased with this one. Bottle Auction: Beehive Mason's 1858 A236 Pint Fruit Jar (20 oz?) w/Lid

Beehive Mason's 1858 A236 Pint Fruit Jar (20 oz?) w/Lid Bottle Auction Description: More great items in my other auctions - I'm happy to combine multiple wins. If viewing on mobile phone, click the html tab in upper right for more photos (some phones allow you to greatly enlarge photos). This auction includes an old Mason's Patent Nov 30th 1858 fruit jar that stands about 5 3/4" tall (when lid is on). I don't know a thing about this type item, but it seems like it should be a pint, but if filled to the very top it holds about 20 ounces. The number on the bottom is A236 and it's printed backwards to be read through the mouth from the top. The color is a very light, almost neon green that can really only be seen when tilting it. There is only very minor roughness on the mouth, and there is a small crack on the ceramic lid liner. Please include 5.00 for shipping. 7 day satisfaction guarantee. Paypal only please.

Bottle Auction: L.Q.C. WISHARTS PINE TREE CORDIAL 1859 PHILA 9 1/2"

L.Q.C. WISHARTS PINE TREE CORDIAL 1859 PHILA 9 1/2" Bottle Auction Description: Here is a fantastic 19th century Philadelphia medicine bottle recently uncovered at a construction site in southern New Jersey! This historic bottle is in outstanding original condition, has only been lightly cleaned with soap and water, and is fresh to the marketplace. It measures 9 1/2" tall and has a 2 11/16" square base with a round concave center. The lip is applied and shows some creases and imperfections that are original to its creation. The color is a wonderful deep olive yellow with great brightness and shine that reflects light beautifully. There are plenty of imperfections in the glass, including air bubbles, dimples and creases, but otherwise it is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The pine tree is an extraordinary example of early glass making decoration and has great detail. The only fault I can see with this bottle is some light scratches from minimal use, particularly on the flat portion of the base. This is an outstanding example of a highly collectible early medicine bottle that will certainly be a wonderful addition to your collection. Thanks for looking and please ask questions. No international buyers please.

Bottle Auction: c1901 PATENT MEDICINE TIN LITHOGRAPH SERVING TRAY CUPID

c1901 PATENT MEDICINE TIN LITHOGRAPH SERVING TRAY CUPID Bottle Auction Description: Very rare and beautiful, original, ca1901 Tin Lithographed Advertising Serving Tray for "Hicks' Capudine Liquid" Patent Medicine by H. D. Beach Co of Coshocton, Ohio. This fantastic and elaborately decorated, Tin Litho Tray measures 9 3/4" and features a stunning and highly detailed Image with winged Cupid figures and an outstanding Art Nouveau design border. The Tray features a central image of a printed Advertising Box containing a Bottle of Hicks' Capudine Liquid - a "cure all" Patent Medicine of questionable efficacy. The Box is surrounded by three "putty" / winged Cupid figures with a sylvan background. The rim of the tray features a wonderful, Art Nouveau design with leaves and flourishes. Text around the edge of the central image reads "It's Liquid - Effects Immediately / 10-25 and 50 cts. A Bottle". The Lithography is of THE very highest quality and it is signed by the manufacturer H. D. Beach Co of Coshocton, Ohio. Although the Tray is not dated we know that H. D. Beach began manufacturing tin lithograph advertising items in 1901 and the Capudine Box does not have any of the required Food and Drug Administration notices required as of 1907. This beautiful ca1901 Advertising Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original, turn of the 20th century Tin Lithograph Tray manufactured by H. D. Beach Co. produced for the Capudine Chemical Company of Raleigh, North Carolina. This exceptionally beautiful and elaborately lithographed, Patent Medicine Advertising Tray is in very good condition - the lithography is bright, vibrant and beautiful and the Tray displays nicely. While there are no large or major areas of damage or surface wear, the Tray does have a number of small and scattered surface nicks and small spots of surface oxidation. The most serious and visible wear is found at approx. 5 o'clock on the edge of the Tray affecting the letters "TT" in "Bottle" and the raised rim adjacent to those letters. There are some spots of surface discoloration as can be seen on the central Capudine Box but these generally blend with the elaborate pattern of the decoration. We have included a number of scans below that give an indication of the condition of this wonderful Tin Litho Tray but we must say that "in hand" the Tray has a much better "look" than in the scans below. The back side of the tray has some surface wear (nothing major) as can be seen the scan below. A very rare and very beautiful, ca1901 H. D. Beach "Capudine" Patent Medicine, Tin Lithograph, Advertising Serving Tray and a fantastic addition to any collection!!! Be sure to check out this seller's other auctions for other early, Tin Lithograph Trays being offered for sale this week on eBay!! PLEASE ALSO NOTE: We will be leaving for a 17 day (much needed) vacation on April 18 and will be away when this auction closes. We will have internet access and will notify the winning bidder but PLEASE BE ADVISED - this item CANNOT be shipped until we return on May 5th. If this presents a problem for you then PLEASE DO NOT BID ON ITEMS IN THIS WEEK'S AUCTION. Thanks for your interest in our weekly eBay auctions and for your support over the past 12+ years. Overseasshippping is extra and cost will be quoted at bidders request. Massachusetts residents must add 5% sales tax. Insurance is required on all items selling for $400 or more and optional on items selling for under $400 (but highly recommended. If you do not want insurance please let us know. Please check out other early and interesting items offered by this seller on ebay. Click Here to See Our Items We Have for Sale in the eBay Gallery Important Notes about Shipping Charges and the eBay "Detailed Seller Rating" Star System: The amount quoted for Shipping & Handling is calculated by eBay and is equal to the EXACT amount charged by the Post Office plus a $1.00 "packing fee" - the $1.00 fee is our only compensation for the virgin packing materials we use on all of our professionally packaged boxes as well as our cost for the salaried help that does most of our packing - as I am sure you can see, we make NO profit on the Shipping charges and, in fact, our costs are usually greater than the $1.00 fee. We have NEVER requested Feedback from our customers as we were taught that "fishing for compliments" was impolite but the new eBay Detailed Rating System has put us in a rather tight spot. Most buyers are unaware that eBay bases a monthly fee discount on a Seller's "Star" rating. A monthly average of "4.6 Stars" (in any one of the four "Star" categories) costs us approximately $400 in additional eBay Fees - that's $400 above what we would pay if we had a "4.8 Star" average in all 4 "Star" categories!! As a consequence we hope you do not find us rude to ask that if you are happy with our items, our service, and our packing & shipping please be sure to use the "Star" rating system and remember that a "5 Star" rating is the only way we can qualify for eBay's fee reduction program. ,Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. Bottle Auction: Lot of Two Western Applied Top Whiskeys! J.F. Cutter

Lot of Two Western Applied Top Whiskeys! J.F. Cutter Bottle Auction Description: Here is a great lot of TWO 1870s San francisco whiskey fifths! Both have crudely applied tops, and are the "J.F. Cutter ( star in shield) Old Bourbon" examples. The first is a nice olive amber with a huge applied top, and the pointed "As" dating it to about 1872. The amber specimen is the late 1870s version with the curved "Rs" and large X embossed on the base. Usually when there is a lot of two offered, they are trashed examples, but not these! The olive example does have an in making radiating potstone on the reverse, and some light haze, and the regular amber example has a bit of washable inside dirt, but otherwise these are great San Francisco whiskeys! Buyer to pay $10.85 postage, Good Luck!

Bottle Auction: Antique, ceramic, FRENCH / ENGLISH Shaving Jar / pot lid

Antique, ceramic, FRENCH / ENGLISH Shaving Jar / pot lid Bottle Auction Description: You are bidding on a very attractive, Antique, ceramic, under-the-glaze transferred, French / English Shaving Cream container, or "pot lid" as they are known. Very eye-catching graphics, with detailed floral background. No chips or cracks. The lid measures 3 1/4" in diameter, & is covered with fine glaze crazing, which is normal for this 100+ year old piece. There are a few places where there is edge wear,(very little) and some glaze loss in two patches on the side flange wall (pic.5) This all mentioned, for 100% accuracy....but hardly detracts from an impressive lid which presents very handsomely! The base is from my supply of spares, from the same time period, and although a little loose fitting, displays this piece adequately. For viewers who are unfamiliar with these paste product jars.....they were used in an approximate 80 year window between 1840-1920, after which they were made largely obsolete, by cheaper forms of material for packaging. They were used for paste, powder, and "soap" based products, which included Cold Cream, toothpaste, ointments, and even some edible sauces. They were advertised in various colors, and marketed in containers with different shapes...round being the most common shape. Over time, these jars, many of which were discarded in trash dumps of the time, have become very sought after collectibles, by enthusiasts across the world. Be assured, you are bidding on a genuine and authentic period piece!Overseas bidders are welcome, but please note, seller is not responsible for duties or taxes which may be levied by import authorities of countries outside the U.S. I complete U.S. custom forms accurately.Payment is expected within 3 days, and if there is any hitch, please communicate and we can work something out....otherwise seller reserves the right to relist the item in the event of non-payment within the stipulated period. Thanks for viewing my auction and I wish you success in the bidding.

Bottle Auction: Turner Brothers NY Green Barrell Whiskey Bitters

Turner Brothers NY Green Barrell Whiskey Bitters Bottle Auction Description: We are pleased to offer what we feel to be a rare color in this bottle. A Turner Brothers Barrell shaped whiskey or Bitters bottle from New York in a beautiful shaped yellow/green, make no mistake this bottle is NOT a light shade of Amber! The tones are definately yellow/green. The condition is overall nice, there are some light scattered "scratches" on the center panel and a shallow 1/2 flea bite on the crude applied top. The outer surfaces are clean and shiny, the interior has some very faint content residue. The bottle looks good as it is but if you so desire 2 days in a tumbler would make it really sparkle. According to research, this bottle is Extremely rare in any shade of green. The bottle measures 9 7/8" tall, 2 1/2" base diameter, 1 1/2" top rim and 4" at center of bottle. We have set what we feel to be a modest reserve in this rarity, but we are quite confident that the final price will go way beyond the reserve. Please see my pictures for condition, Thanks for looking!!ATTENTION: Due to a rash of impossible to satisfy buyers recently, before bidding if you have a history of posting negative feedback for sellers, seeking partial refunds or are just impossible to satisfy, PLEASE DO NOT BID!!! We will check your bid history and cancel and block any bids placed by buyers that fit this criteria. We apologize to the 99.9% of good buyers out there for having to take this route but the .1% leaves us with no choice. We are not after all operating a Wal-mart.Payment is to be received within 4 days of auctions end, as per Ebay terms unless arrangements are made with me prior to auctions end. Delivery confirmation is required with shipping and is included in the shipping cost. I will pack the item as safely and securely as I possibly can for safe shipping. We will gladly ship international but the shipping charge listed is for domestic shipping ONLY. We do our best to describe items accurately and photograph them showing all details. In some instances, particularly with primative antiques there are chips, nicks, flakes, wear, paint loss, and expected flaws. On these items WE can not be expected to mention every little flaw, thats just the nature of certain antiques. Some 100+ year old antiques are obviously going to show wear. On glass, china and pottery all flaws are mentioned. We don't sell junk and will point out any obvious distracting flaws or damage and bring them to the attention of perspective bidders. Unless an item is grossly misrepresented, all sales are final, we do NOT issue refunds or partial refunds. So if you have questions, PLEASE, DON'T BE SHY!!!!! On multiple wins shipping will gladly be combined. WE DO NOT END AUCTIONS EARLY!!! DON'T EVEN ASK!!!
