Bottle Auction: Top Shelf 4-Log Drakes Plantation Bitters

Top Shelf 4-Log Drakes Plantation Bitters Bottle Auction Description: This is an absolutely beautiful 4-log Drakes. The color is much better then most 4-loggers you run across. This one has a lot of dark red in it as apposed to the usual flat amber usually found. It also has a fair amount of light whittle and is completely covered in an orange peel texture. All of the label panels, as well as the logs, are covered in the texture. The embossing is very bold and readable, which is usually not the case on these as well. Condition is perfect with only a very faint line of contents stain on the inside. An absolute top shelf example.

Bottle Auction: 1835-45 GII-24 PONTIL DOUBLE EAGLE LOUISVILLE RARE BLUE FLASK BOTTLE WOW!

1835-45 GII-24 PONTIL DOUBLE EAGLE LOUISVILLE RARE BLUE FLASK BOTTLE WOW! Bottle Auction Description: This is not your standard aqua version of this beautiful and much sought after flask. This is a much darker medium type of blue. I see blue and not any green, so I can't call it teal. See many pictures of this amazing example in direct sun, on a foggy morning, and note the two with it compared in direct sunlight to a very glacial aqua Dyott "Firecracker" to show color comparison. (NOTE: Only the GII-24 bottle on the right in the pictures is included in this auction. If this more than holds a candle to an Ex-Thomas McCandless spectacular glacial Firecracker Flask valued at $1000.00 by a Glass Auction, than it is very unique indeed.) The condition is as awesome as the rare color, this gem has never seen a tumbler. There's not a bit of haze or stain, the only thing to nit-pick for accuracy is a small scratch just above the banner on one side. The upkick is quite deep and the pontil is very crisp. This is as close to an attic mint example as one could hope for. I saw an example of the same color sell at Glass Works "Dog Days of Summer Auction" in 2012 for $1400 before buyer's premium. I'm just going to set this one out for no reserve and let you decide what this rare colored example of a Double Eagle flask is worth to you. Be sure to see all photographs before bidding; they say a lot more than I can. Again, no reserve. Shipping might vary depending on location and Postal "Zones." I ship vis USPS Priority. Paypal is fine, but feel free to contact me if other payment types are desired. Check my Feedbacks and bid confidently. Message any questions. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Bottle Auction: 1840's GI-47 LOCKPORT NY PONTIL WASHINGTON HISTORICAL FLASK BOTTLE TEAL AWESOME!

1840's GI-47 LOCKPORT NY PONTIL WASHINGTON HISTORICAL FLASK BOTTLE TEAL AWESOME! Bottle Auction Description: Lock and Load and take aim at this beauty of a rare example of Lockport Glass. This is the absolute finest example of this rare historial flask you'll find. It's doesn't need a thing and is ready for your Lockport window or shelf collection. The "Donut" top is flawless and very unique. The condition is fantastic, just a small scratch on the base side edge and a very small (size of a quarter) spot of interior water stain on the other base edge. (Only nit-picking for accuracy.) Virtually no highpoint wear and this has not been within a mile of a tumbler. Embossing is very crisp and again, you couldn't ask for a nicer example. This stands 8-1/2" high and is 5-1/2" across. The FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY embossing and portrait of Washington is crisp and you'd need a jeweler's loop to see the teeniest trace of highpoint wear to Washington's cheek. Pictures tell all. I've only seem one other identical example of this type and it was an ex-Blaske Collection example that sold at Heckler's last year for $750 before buyer's premium and it was scratchy and nowhere near as nice as this example. This came from a very old Philadelphia collection and I'm only selling it as I had thought, (as Helen McKearin did in the 1940's,) that is was a Dyottville made piece, which I collect. It has since been truely attributed to Lockport Glass Works. The flask is a large quart size and the pontil is like a shark's mouth and will bite if not handled carefully. This historic flask stands straight and beautifully and gives more variety to a Lockport Collection of GW Merchant bottles. This only needs a good home; make it yours. Be sure to see all photographs before bidding; they say a lot more than I can. No reserve. Shipping might vary depending on location amd Postal "Zones." I ship vis USPS Priority. Paypal is fine, but feel free to contact me if other payment types are desired. Check my Feedbacks and bid confidently. Message me with any questions. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Bottle Auction: Beautiful Frog Effigy Water Bottle or Medicine Bottle -Authentic Indian Artifact

Beautiful Frog Effigy Water Bottle or Medicine Bottle -Authentic Indian Artifact Bottle Auction Description: Up for bid is a Beautiful Frog Effigy Water Bottle or Medicine Bottle - Authentic Indian Artifact. This Effigy Water Bottle or Medicine Bottle has been in my personal collection for over 25 years and I have decided to part with it and let someone else enjoy it. It is about 4" tall and has great age and patina on it. It is from the Tennessee area and you can still see the dirt and roots attached to the inside, but the pictures may not show it as well. What can be seen in the pictures is the dark patina all over it inside and out. The Frog is easily seen and all there, but on the other side there was a Lizard at one time. You can still see the outline of the head, body, feet, and tail, with part of the tail still on it. The reason I thought it may have been a medicine bottle is the Frog and Lizard Effigies and the small size, but that is just a guess. It is a super neat artifact and definately a Collector Grade Artifact. I hope the winning bidder will enjoy it as much as I have! I will start the bid low with no reserve........

Bottle Auction: Antique, ceramic, AMERICAN POT LID, X. Bazin Philadelphia jar, crock, pot lid

Antique, ceramic, AMERICAN POT LID, X. Bazin Philadelphia jar, crock, pot lid Bottle Auction Description: You are bidding on an antique, ceramic, purple-transferred AMERICAN shaving cream jar or "pot lid" as they are known. This item dates to the latter part of the 19 th century making it around 120-140 years old. The item comes with it's original base section which is also transferred underneath (see pics 5,6, and 10) The jar was produced for Xavier Bazin, a PHILADELPHIA "perfumer" who marketed numerous cosmetic & pharmaceutical items as well as bottled products. He operated his business between 1850-1884 when the Co. interests were sold. As you can see, a great pictorial of the American bald eagle to the center of the face, surrounded by garlands of flowers and banners. The lid measures 3" in diameter and stands slightly over 1 1/2" in height It appears there must have been two small chips on the perimeter flange and circumference edge of the lid (3 o'clock & 6 o'clock) as there appears to be some well-done (professional) repair work there, which appears to have been done quite a long time ago. The base has a foot edge repair which is shown in pic.8 As you can see, the jar displays really nicely, and the lid repairs are hard to even spot. A delightful piece of antique Americana!FOR VIEWERS WHO MAY NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH THESEDELIGHTFUL LITTLE JARS....THEY WERE USED BETWEEN APPROX. 1840-1920 TO MARKETVARIOUS PRODUCTS WHICH CAME IN A PASTE FORM. AFTER WWI THEY BECAME OBSOLETE ASMORE MODERN AND ECONOMICAL FORMS OF PACKAGING REPLACEDTHEM. THE RECOVERY AND COLLECTING OF THESE OLD PIECES HASBECOME A POPULAR, WORLD-WIDE HOBBY, AND A QUAINT REMINDER OF A BYGONE ERA. BE ASSURED, YOU ARE BIDDING ON A GENUINE ANDAUTHENTIC PERIOD PIECE.Overseas bidders are welcome, but please note, seller is notresponsible for duties or taxes which may belevied by import authorities of countries outside the U.S. I do not mark sales below the sale price, orsend items as "gifts". I complete U.S.custom forms accurately.Payment, whether domestic or International, is expected within 3 days, and if there isany hitch, please communicate and we can work something out....otherwise sellerreserves the right to relist the item in the event of non-payment withinthe stipulated period. Bottle Auction: Antique Old Honey Amber Half Gallon THE " MASON'S " IMPROVED Fruit Jar fancy M

Antique Old Honey Amber Half Gallon THE " MASON'S " IMPROVED Fruit Jar fancy M Bottle Auction Description: Okay so for auction we have a thing of beauty. This is a half gallon, honey amber colored, glass top, zinc band and a grounded lip or rough lip. This jar is embossed with THE "MASON'S" IMPROVED with a fancy M on MASON'S and IMPROVED. It's fancy in a sense that one leg of the M that goes down the center is longer and goes down all the way instead of come back up after the point. You will have to look at the pictures to fully understand what I am trying to say. The embossing on this jar is very strong like it wants to jump off the jar. The glass lid is aqua in color and with a small bruise on the inside lip, nothing you can really tell but mentioning it for accuracy. The jar does have a grounded rough lip with just a few small shallow flakes along the inside of rim again nothing to hurt the jar but mentioning for accuracy. Jar has H17 embossed on the bottom and some crude extra glass left behind from the mold I believe just a little some thing extra to add character to this jar. Jar kinda looks like it could be whittled but I do thing the marks may have been left behind from the mold but look at the pictures and you decide. There are some really nice bubbles in this jar along with some great crude marks and tool marks as well. No cracks and no chips other than as mentioned before. Jar is dirty so I will leave it up to you to clean it if that's what you want. I have no reserve on this jar so happy bidding and thanks.Winner pays shipping and PayPal only.
