Bottle Auction: American Deobstruent Bitters Bottle Open Pontil 1840's Eagle Labeled Crude Cure

American Deobstruent Bitters Bottle Open Pontil 1840's Eagle Labeled Crude Cure Bottle Auction Description: Here we have an aqua blown in mold/applied lip open pontiled bottle with a label marked "American/(Image of Eagle)/Deobstruent Bitters/Direction for Using/(list of directions)". Bottle is 7" tall, 2" wide, and 1-1/2" deep and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or other damage. Partial (nasty looking) contents are still in the bottle and the original cork is in place. The pontil protrudes badly and the bottle rocks a bit...someone ground down the worst of the protruding glass of pontil to allow it to stand upright at all (this is something done relatively recently as far as I can tell)-see the photos. The label is in very good condition with a few scuffs and rubs, some chips out of the corners, but no major damage.A neat old bitters bottle...not one I have seen before. No proprietor is listed on the label. I love the eagle graphics on this one. I would guess this dates to the 1840's...bottle is very crude.Shipping by the method of your choice-no handling charges. Item guaranteed as described. Let me know if you have any questions. See my other auctions for more neat items.

Bottle Auction: Rare Western "CHOICE OLD CABINET / KY. BOURBON / SOLE AGENTS / S.F." 1870s

Rare Western "CHOICE OLD CABINET / KY. BOURBON / SOLE AGENTS / S.F." 1870s Bottle Auction Description: WESTERN BOTTLE AUCTION Rare Western "CHOICE OLD CABINET / KY. BOURBON / SOLE AGENTS / S.F." 1870s This beautiful rare Western 5th was found many years ago at a sawmill camp along the Mendocino Coast. It has remained in the same collection since and is fresh to the market. Bold embossing reads: "CHOICE / OLD CABINET / KY. BOURBON / CRANE HASTINGS & CO. / SOLE AGENTS / SAN FRANCISCO" all across the face of the bottle. In the center there is a jeweled crown with a cross on top. This bottle has an extra strong strike the embossing really stands out and is far better than most glob tops I've seen. Hand blown into a two part mould in a deep golden amber colored glass, circa late 1870s. It has some really interesting milky swirls starting in the top and winding their down through the body giving it some unique character. Has a hand tooled lip and a smooth concave step base like most all of the early Western 5ths. Lots of little bubbles, mild whittle, swirls, and the strong strike make this an extremely nice example. NO chips, cracks, stain or repairs but to be totally picky I do note a tiny pinhead nick and a few light scratches. This is a Western 5th that seldom comes available, in fact don't ever recall seeing another on eBay. Thomas book value ten years ago listed this rare bird at a $2500.00, our consigner is hopeful. We believe the winning bidder will be quite pleased this very rare & desirable Western whiskey. NO RESERVE ! Buyer pays $12.85 for Priority Mail shipping, Packaging, Delivery confirmation & Tracking in the U.S. Insurance optional, buyer assumes all shipping liability for uninsured items. Payment to be made within 7 days of the auction closeing please. However if you need longer, extended payment time may be arranged prior to the auction ending. Bottle Auction: Late 18th cent Rev War era Black Glass pontil bottle BAYOU SARA Ex Sue Sinclair

Late 18th cent Rev War era Black Glass pontil bottle BAYOU SARA Ex Sue Sinclair Bottle Auction Description: AT Auction is an authentic late-18th-century black glass pontiled bottle that was found in the area of old Bayou Sara, Louisiana. I acquired it about 1991 from Sue Sinclair (now deceased) while visiting with her at here home, about a prospective purchase of a few local artifacts. Sue ran the local post office at Wakefield, Louisiana, and lived nearby. She had a passion for local historic preservation and collecting, and I feel fortunate to have visited with her on numerous occasions. Sue was proud of this bottle, not because black glass is unusually rare, but because it was found in her community, not from some Caribbean site or Europe. It apparently dates back to the Spanish-early American occupation of Bayou Sara. The bottle, has no cracks or chips, but shows plenty of iridescence striations and patina from natural chemical reactions in the Louisiana soil and water. It stands approximately 10.25" tall and is 3.50" wide at the base. Included with it will be a printed and signed anecdote/provenance about how I acquired this particular bottle, with a little local history. FREE SHIPPING.

Bottle Auction: Extremely Rare First Coca-Cola Bottle Atlanta 1888

Extremely Rare First Coca-Cola Bottle Atlanta 1888 Bottle Auction Description: Extremely Rare circa 1888 bottle from the first bottler of Coca-Cola in Atlanta. If you know your Coke History you know the story of this bottle. In April, 1888, Woolfolk Walker took charge of the manufacture of Coca-Cola for the Pemberton Medicine Company. Asa Candler handled distribution of Coca-Cola through his drug business. His nephew Samuel Candler Dobbs recalled this makeshift operation: "I knew Mr. Walker quite well, and they had an old fashioned Matthews bottling apparatus in a shed where this 107 Marietta Street is, and some of the goods [Coca-Cola] were sold in bottles then - put up in an old Hutchinson stoppered bottle - I know I sold some down at Lithonia." Bottle is stained and has damage to lip and base as pictured.Payment is expected within 48 hours of invoice. Please email any questions at least a day before auction closeI combine shipping so be sure and check my other auctions.Shipping to US Address: Most Soda Bottles and similar size items are shipped USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation for $8.50 for a single item. EMERALD GREEN W.H. BUCK NORFOLK VA GRAPHITE PONTIL SODA BOTTLE Bottle Auction Description: shmagecky Store EMERALD GREEN W.H. It is a river or Chesapeake Bay found bottle and bears scratches and an small open bubble on the back edge and overall wear. It also has a haze to it.. Its not perfect by any means, but I see no cracks, chips, etc.. This is a perfect candidate for a tumble. These are rare soda bottles to find anymore and pre civil war era. A RARE PONTILED "DR. GUYSOTT'S" VARIANT W/ 90-95% LABEL IN 4 LANGUAGES!!! Bottle Auction Description: Here's a rare pontiled "Dr. Guysott's" variant that you seldom see offered for sale, especially with 90 to 95% of the original label still intact!!! Bottle has a strong blue aqua color. The glass is pristine; nicely whittled and full of tiny bubbles. The dimensions are 8 3/4 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches wide. It's embossed on three indented panels as follows, "Dr. Guysott's//yellow dock & sarsaparilla//B & P New York". The label is a bit stained, but 90 to 95% complete and easily readable. SCARCE STODDARD GLASS KIMBALL'S JAUNDICE BITTERS BOTTLE AMBER TROY NH 1850 Bottle Auction Description: You are bidding on a very scarce Kimballs Jaundice Bitters bottle. The front of the bottle reads " Kimball's Jaundice " with a backwards "s". One side reads " BITTERS " and the other side reads " TROY . N.H. ". I believe this bottle was blown at Stoddard Glass Works in Stoddard NH around 1850. I would call the color amber. It is in very near mint condition. The only thing I could find on this was a little roughness around the top of the collar. There are no chips or cracks whatsoever. It is in amazing condition. It measures 7"H x 2 3/4"W x 1 13/16"D. It has an applied sloping collar and iron pontil mark on the bottom. I am selling this bottle with NO RESERVE!!! Do not miss out on your chance to own a spectacular bottle in amazing condition!!! Bottle Auction: early iron pontil forest green squat soda beer bottle G A Kohl Lambertville NJ

early iron pontil forest green squat soda beer bottle G A Kohl Lambertville NJ Bottle Auction Description: Tonight I'm going to start listing some of the bottles in a collection I bought a few weeks ago here in NC. the man that collected these bottles originally lived & hunted them in New Jersey. he moved to NC a few yrs ago & recently passed away. there are many soda, beer, ink & medicine bottles. I will be trying to list them over the next few weeks. please don't email asking about different ones & names or types, just be patient & over time, you'll see what I have for sale & everyone will have a chance at them. I'm going to list sodas & beer bottles 1st.. I know virtually nothing about them, haven't taken time to clean them, only wiped them off on the outside with glass cleaner because of the dust from storage. he dug for many of them in dumps & privies so alot have minor or major film, content stain or haze & I'll try to describe this in those that do. I'm not going to go to all the trouble to try to clean each 1 not knowing if they are worth the trouble. I have checked them all for any cracks other than a slight flash or bruise & discarded any cracked ones. I'm sure that the bottle collectors know these bottles would tumble out most of the stains & some of the scratches by a professional bottle cleaning person.... as always, I'll be glad to combine shipping on multiple bottles so, if you win more than 1 auction, please wait for a correct adjusted invoice to be sent with the correct shipping cost. if you win 1 or more lots & are also wanting to bid on others that end later on in other days, please let me know. some of these may be super rare, some may be very common, you will know more than I. please email with any questions before bidding as ALL SALES ARE FINAL because of so many I'll have to go through. PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS & IS EXPECTED TO BE PAID.. parcel post shipping will be the 1st quote & Priority shipping a 2nd choice, which is much safer but, I realize most people want to save anything they can on shipping. PLEASE BE AWARE PARCEL POST TAKES QUITE LONGER IN TIME THAN PRIORITY & ISN'T HANDLED AS CAREFULLY.this auction is for 1 of the most sought after types of early glass soda or beer bottles, it's a "squat" soda with what I think they call an applied top & this bottle has a "iron pontil scar" on the base.. it's embossed on "G.A. Kohl Lambertville N.J." this fine old bottle has a ring collar under the mouth, the bottle has a tiny, tiny nick on the outside edge of the lip & then down on the ring collar below the top there is a larger chip on the ring. the outside has a lot of case wear & scratches, there's 1 scratch about 3/4" long on the back up near the shoulder that's fairly deep & whitish in appearance. you can see this in 1 of the pictures.. the inside looks to be clean, the base has a nice iron pontil ring scar & no chips.. but a good tumble would no doubt make it a extra fine specimen. at 6 3/4" tall,it's a beautiful Forest green in my opinion, a totally different shade of green that the other NJ squat bottle I have for sale , there are no visible cracks that I can see. a great piece of early NJ glasshouse history. please see my listings for another early pontiled squat soda like this from NJ., I have a few early bottles from this same Cawley Co. please see my other listings for more of these same style bottles to list, will gladly combine shipping on multiple bottles. I'm starting them all out at low openng bids, you can rack up on a great group for your collection or resale.. , .On Jun-03-12 at 04:13:44 PDT, seller added the following information:I have checked this bottle good & cannot see a crack anywhere in it, the sunlight glare make some light place show on it that aren't really there & highlights some of the scratches more than they really are.. the only standout visible spot when sitting on a shelf is the whitish deep scratch up high on the backside. many of the other scratches & normal casewear would come out with a good tumble, I believe.
