Bottle Auction: SCARCE WESTERN GUN WA'S CHINESE HERB REMEDIES BOTTLE IN AMBER TOOLED LIP DENVER

SCARCE WESTERN GUN WA'S CHINESE HERB REMEDIES BOTTLE IN AMBER TOOLED LIP DENVER Bottle Auction Description: Here is a very scarce western quack medicine you don't see often from Denver, Colorado. It is embossed GUN WA'S CHINESE HERB & VEGETABLE REMEDIES in a dark amber, tolled top and 6 1/2" tall. This was a later version after the other cruder applied top Gun Wa's bottles that were made. The older ones show up occasionally and are also very scarce. The bottle has some issues however from being buried in a cold climate. On one side are five radiating fissures, three measure about 1/2" each and the other two about 1/4". There are also two very small ones above this measuring about 1/16" each. On the top back and other side panels are single 1/4" flashes near the top. The lip also has one annealing fissure about 1" long and on the opposite side of the lip two moons about 1/4" across with two more radiating 1/2" fissures. Now this all may sound very terrible, but given the dark amber color and locations of the issues this bottle displays really well. The glass overall is in great shiny condition with the exception of some light haze on the side with the larger fissures. Considering that this is only the second one of these I have seen in about ten years, having one of these scarce medicines of any condition in a collection would make nice addition. Fourteen day return privilege guaranteed for money back. Buyer pays postage.

Bottle Auction: Rare Christian Schlepegrell Sided Soda, Charleston, S.C. Replaced Top

Rare Christian Schlepegrell Sided Soda, Charleston, S.C. Replaced Top Bottle Auction Description: Here is a rare replaced top Charleston soda embossed on the panels: "CHRISTIAN SCHLEPEGRELL, SODA WATER, RETURN THIS BOTTLE, CHARLESTON, S.C." The bottle is a nice rich cobalt blue color, is eight sided, and has a nice heavy iron pontil. In addition to the replaced top that is somewhat off-centered (necessary to fit properly), there is a chip along the panel edge that I took a close up of in the last photo. The bottle is 7 5/8" tall, which is a little less than normal, due to the shorter neck. We recently sold an even rarer green colored example for $1,440. A perfect example in this blue color would bring close to $2,000, but we expect this replaced top example to bring about one third of that value, or so.

Bottle Auction: Xtremely SCARCE square BININGER'S OLD DOMINION WHEAT TONIC w/RARE 19 BROAD ST.

Xtremely SCARCE square BININGER'S OLD DOMINION WHEAT TONIC w/RARE 19 BROAD ST. Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. It's a very GOOD time to have stopped by because today, there's a SWEET example of a VERY SCARCE A.M. BININGER'S square. Not ONLY that, but thisis embossed with the RARE 19 BROAD ST. address. The full embossing is clearly seen in the highdefinition pictures. As I'm sure most of you are already aware, this is a dug bottle, but it happens tobe, in my opinion, in wonderful condition. There is some very light ground wear/swirls and some superficial scratches, but the most SERIOUS issue, is a small and shallow bubble (as pictured) that has lost its cover glass at some point in its very long history. Most likely while it was burried for who knows how long. Taking into account how scarce these WHEAT TONIC bottles are, not to mention the fact that they hardly ever come up for sale, I would say that the bubble being exposed is of very little importance. I had debated whether or not to have this bottle professionally cleaned, but I kind of like it just the way it is. It tells a story and shows you exactly what its been through. It's in its original "found" condition. It's a SURVIVOR!!! So I just left it be. Once you're the new owner, you can do whatever you want to it. This is a HIGHLY sought after and VERY SCARCE N.Y. square with the rare address. Please be sure to look the pictures over very thoroughly, as they are considered to be part of the description. LOADS of tiny seed bubbles and a few nice larger ones. A perfect and crudely applied sloping collar lip, and I know you don't see much of it, but the base is perfect. This bottle has all the qualities us bottle nuts drool over.(If you're not a bottle nut, I apologize. We know who we are) NO RESERVE!!! GOOD LUCK!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always a welcomed thing and very much appreciated. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mailASAP. Please be sure to ask questions before entering a bid and if you're not 101% satisfied with yourpurchase, simply return the bottle for a no questions asked refund. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and the bottle must be returned in the exact same condition it was in when it left my possession. If you have a little time, please have a look at my other items and keep checking back for more bottles and other cool stuff to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day! : )

Bottle Auction: 1700's Dutch Constantine Wine Bottle -Open pontil- !!!

1700's Dutch Constantine Wine Bottle -Open pontil- !!! Bottle Auction Description: Here is an interesting old bottle that dates back to the late 1700's. It was a Wine bottle named for Constance the wife of Dutch Governor Simon Van der Stel of South Africa. Constantia wine was made from the grapes grown in the vineyards in South Africa. Earliest known bottles date back to the 1760's. This bottle is 11 1/4" tall and has a nice green-olive color to it. It has a long 5" neck and an applied string lip. The base is very crude looking and is slightly kicked up, with a nice pontil scar. This bottle is in great condition with no cracks, chips, flakes, dings, or any other kind of damage. There are a few scratch marks on the glass and your natural wear and tear for a bottle this old But not too bad actually. The interior has some content/dirt inside as well as some light staining. It has not been washed or cleaned out so I think a lot of it would come out with a good soak in some soapy water and a brush.

Bottle Auction: VERY light yellow olive 18th century CHESTNUT FLASK in V. near perfect condition

VERY light yellow olive 18th century CHESTNUT FLASK in V. near perfect condition Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Here up for auction is this beautiful little free blown chestnutflask from the later half of the 1700's. It is in FABULOUS and AMAZING condition considering howold this is and also taking into account the egg shell like thinness of the glass. Passing light with ease, this very early piece of glass is sure to please. (YES, on top of being a bottle collector, I'm also a poet) Just a couple of very small and light scratches is keeping this one from being attic mint. But how often are you able to say that a 200 year old bottle is in attic mint condition? Just LOADED with tiny seed bubbles! A few of them are open at the surface. DON'T let this one get away from you! Or you will surely be kicking yourself (you know where) for quite some time. Please take note that in a few pics, you might think there's a large scuff on the left side. This is NOT the case. That's a reflection of the eave of the house. GOOD LUCK!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always good and highly appreciated. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mail ASAP. Remember to ask questions before entering a bid. While I really don't consider this to be "black" glass, it IS however, utilitarian. Which is why it's listed in the other category. If you have the time, please take a look at my other listings and keep checking back for more bottlesand other cool stuff to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day! ( :

Bottle Auction: Rare Western "WORMSER BROS. / SAN FRANCISCO" Yellow Olive!

Rare Western "WORMSER BROS. / SAN FRANCISCO" Yellow Olive! Bottle Auction Description: Rare Western "WORMSER BROS. / SAN FRANCISCO" Yellow Olive! We have to offer this beautiful rare Western whiskey flask in a smoking color. Embossing reads: "WORMSER BROS. / SAN FRANCISCO." on two vertical lines across the face. It was hand blown into a two part mold in a beautiful light yellow olive colored glass by the San Francisco Glass Works, circa 1869. It has an applied top and smooth concave base. This is a little larger than a pint and measures 8-1/2 tall x 3-3/4" wide. Has been cleaned inside and & out to remove some light stain, it displays great. I note scratches on the front & back that were likely caused from use. NO chips, cracks, nicks, stain or repairs. This is a great color for this flask as most are a plain amber. The Wormser bottles are one of the earliest Western flask. This example was found many years ago in Northern California and has been a part of the diggers collection. The firm of Wormser Bros. was located on the S/W corner of California and Front Streets in San Francisco and listed as importers and jobbers of wines and liquors. Started in 1856 Isaac Wormser, who was living in Germany, was the president of the company and his brother Lewis was the manager. In October of 1867 they trademarked the "Golden Sheaf" brand of whiskey which this bottle likely contained. By 1872 the Wormser Bros. business was sold to the firm of Braeg Frank and Dallemand. NO RESERVE ! Buyer pays $9.85 Postal Service Priority Mail shipping, Packaging, Tracking in the U.S. Insurance optional, buyer assumes all shipping liability for uninsured items. Payment to be made within 7 days of the auction closeing please. However if you need longer, extended payment time may be arranged prior to the auction ending.
