Bottle Auction: DEEP BLUE SANDWICH COLOGNE~VERY RARE QUILTED/LATTICE/DIAMOND/HOBNAIL PATTERN

DEEP BLUE SANDWICH COLOGNE~VERY RARE QUILTED/LATTICE/DIAMOND/HOBNAIL PATTERN Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. It's been quite a while since I listed anything blue, so I just wanted to be sure that it was really Blue. This one may look like your basic cobalt, but I can assure you that it is NOT. In fact, it's a very close match to the color of this text. Just look at the depth of color in pretty much any photo, but I would draw your attention to #'s 4 and 11. In pic #4, the cologne is shown next to a rare cobalt SIPHON KUMYSGEN (Fermented Mare's Milk) bottle for color comparison purposes only. The larger bottle is not included as part of this listing. And as for pic #11, it's almost looking black or navy blue in the palm of my hand without any kind of light coming through it. I would call the color a deep Royal or Midnight blue. Certainly not cobalt. Height is 5 5/8 inches. So not only is this bottle in a very rare molded pattern, it's in a very scarce color also. I know this isn't an "official" poison, but I sure wouldn't have wanted to drink what this bottle originally contained. However, I thought that with the rare diamond quilted/lattice pattern, that it might also have a certain 'eye appeal' to serious poison collectors too. I don't see any damage/condition issues whatsoever, and I'm sure that the winning bidder will be very happy with this little gem of a bottle. Most likely made at the Boston & Sandwich Glass Works, which had a very good run of production and was "operational" from approximately 1825 to 1888. Take notice to the base and how it kind of looks like a blue Pac-Man with a closed mouth. ( : Please be sure to view all of the photos carefully in order to familiarize yourself with this very rare patterned Sandwich Cologne. Please be aware to the possibility of it being highly probable that this is the one and only chance you'll ever get to see one of these colognes in this particular pattern. Have you ever seen any BEFORE this one? (Well, it's certainly the only one that I'VE ever seen and I don't believe I'll get the opportunity to acquire another) NO RESERVE and BEST of LUCK to you!!Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome andwould also be greatly appreciated. Other payment options (if you so choose) will need to be discussedin advance. So please be sure to contact me at least two full days before the listing ends if that'ssomething you'd be interested in. But once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in themail and on its way to you ASAP. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this item, please remember that they must be asked and/or addressed before you enter a bid. If you can spare a minute or two, then please take a look at my other listings and remember to keep checking back for more SWEET antique glass to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day! Bottle Auction: G.W. MERCHANT CHEMIST LOCKPORT, N.Y. / open pontil/ crude & whittled

G.W. MERCHANT CHEMIST LOCKPORT, N.Y. / open pontil/ crude & whittled Bottle Auction Description: I've been asked to help sell an estate. This is one piece from it. Please check back often as I will be listing many more things to come from this estate covering a wide range of collectibles and antiques. I am an old bottle guy so please use your own knowledge and expertise when bidding as a lot of these items are outside my area of expertise. Wow! This is an amazing bottle. I almost don't want to sell it. The pictures really tell the story here and it would not be far fetched to say it is the brother to this bottle (eBay item# 222120273013). The bottle stands just about 5 1/2" tall and is just over 2 1/2" wide. The bottle is very whittled, has an applied top, a great open pontil, and is very clean. There are no chips or cracks. There is a very small flea bite looking thing on the inside of the lip that could be from the manufacturing process and is only mentioned for accuracy. This is a fantastic bottle that will be the front runner in any G.W. MERCHANT collection. Thank you for looking and God bless. Now the fine print :) Please read before bidding.Shipping is based on shipment within the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Should you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or outside of the U.S. and want to bid on the item, please contact me first in order to figure out the shipping cost. Shipping cost is a flat rate; sometimes it is a little over, sometimes it is a little under. Please consider the shipping cost as part of the overall price. Thank you.I accept payment with paypal only, please email before bidding if you want to pay differently. Payment is expected within 7 days of the auction's end.All sales are final. In general, returns are not accepted so please ask lots of questions before bidding. However, should the item arrive and be different than what has been described in the auction or seen in the pictures, a return will be accepted. Additional services such as insurance and tracking are up to the buyer to request and pay for and are not included in the price. The buyer assumes all shipping liability on uninsured shipments. Again, please ask questions and I will do my best to work with you. More pictures can be taken and emailed if needed.

Bottle Auction: VERY CRUDE & BUBBLY!!~SCARCE No1 VARIANT~ DR TOWNSEND'S SARSAPARILLA ALBANY N.Y.

VERY CRUDE & BUBBLY!!~SCARCE No1 VARIANT~ DR TOWNSEND'S SARSAPARILLA ALBANY N.Y. Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. So this is probably one of the very CRUDEST and BUBBLIEST Townsend's you're ever going to see. There's scattered impurities/inclusions throughout the glass AND,....... it's the VERY scarce/seldom seen No1 variant. Did I mention that it's got lots and LOTSof bubbles?? I won't go into a lengthy description because it's getting late and I'm tired. So I'll just say that I don't see any damage whatsoever and I will also point out that the embossing/mold impression is just about the strongest/best I've ever seen on an No1. Usually, you won't even see the o at all. It just looks like N 1. Yes, the o is light, but it's definitely THERE. On the pontilled base, there's some moderate wear and I believe that this example has never been dug and/or cleaned/tumbled. I took manygreat photos and I wish I was able to add more, but if these 12 pics don't "do it for you" then I'm definitely doing something wrong. ( ; For anyone who wants to know, the height is 9 1/4 inches. OFFERED with NO RESERVE!! BEST of LUCK to you!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome andwould also be very much appreciated. Other payment options must be discussed in advance and if that'sthe route you'd like to take, then please be sure to contact me at least two full days before the end of the listing. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mail ASAP. ALL questions regarding this bottle must be asked prior to bidding. So if you're unsure of anything about the bottle, it is your responsibility to ask me. I will be listing more sweet bottles during the upcoming days and would appreciate it if you would look through my other listings. Don't forget to keep checking back for more bottles soon to come. Bottle Auction: O.P. Ribbed, Pint Flask. Circa 1820-1840. Possible Dyott Common Pocket Flask.

O.P. Ribbed, Pint Flask. Circa 1820-1840. Possible Dyott Common Pocket Flask. Bottle Auction Description: 5 3/4" X 2 1/2 base width"is this bright, clear glass 18 ribbed, O.P. Flask. In 1824 Kensington (Dyott in Phila.) advertised "Common-Ribbed" pocket bottles. Perhaps this may be one. Circular pontil in the center of the "kick-up has sharp edges. The slightly "rolled over" lip is very similar to the midwestern pattern mold bottles.......photo here from "American Bottles and Flasks". Then again it may be a European flask......but it is definitely an early one. There is a very light, surface only pontil chip about 1/2". I have a good blown up photo of it here. Notice the heavy "Orange-peel" on the base glass. Very, very light haze line around the inside shoulder. No damage to this attractive oldtimer. Winner pays $7.50 for first class mailing & I cover for loss or damage on an immediate basis. West of Chicago please add $1.00 for mailing. Low opening bid as usual. Thanks for looking.

Killer 300 Year Old Onion Bottle, Olive Green Color Most Unusual String Lip Ever Bottle Auction Description: We are pleased to offer for sale this nice early olive green Dutch onion bottle obtained from the Tommy Mitchiner collection. This example measures just over 7" in height and 5 1/4" in base diameter. It has a crude jagged tubular pontil scar, nice kick up base, and loads of bubbles and "junk" in the glass. What makes this example so special is the most unusual applied string lip that we have ever seen.  It is somewhat normal on half of the bottle, but then drops down the neck by nearly an inch into a "V" on the other half.   Although likely not intended for this purpose, it gives the appearance of a ribbon around one's neck used to hold a medal. It is in excellent undamaged condition with only a couple of light scratches and dull rubs. We have done quite well with these onions in the overseas market, due to their exceptional color and condition. Although this example isn't as yellow or true green as a couple of others, the unusual string lip and bubbly glass make it one of the best we have offered.

Bottle Auction: VERY near GEM MINT condition~8 sided & op. pontilled UMBRELLA INK~SEA FOAM GREEN

VERY near GEM MINT condition~8 sided & op. pontilled UMBRELLA INK~SEA FOAM GREEN Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Here up for bids is this little beauty of an Umbrella ink in avery attractive sea foam green color with just a touch of blue in the mix. I'm not saying this one came from there, but only that I've seen bottles of similar color from the Lockport Glass Works. Well, there's not too much to tell with this one, but I'll try to sum it up as best as I can. Very crude glass with LOTS of whittle, some very nice bubbles, multiple swirl (not ground) lines passing through it, NO damage, a little base wear with a cool striation of slightly darker glass there; a sharp, jagged pontil scar, and perhaps a very,VERY light scratch or two. All original condition and never cleaned/tumbled. Approx. 2 3/8 inches high and also please note that the ink's base is somewhat oblong in shape. The distance across the base in pic #11 is 2 1/8 in. while in the last photo, the distance is 2 5/16 inches. I should also mention that on one of the panels (the one with two obvious bubbles on it) nearer the base, there's a very small piece of glass that became fused to the ink and you can feel just a small bit of roughness there. But please don't try to pick it away. I don't think that would be very wise. Just a great early pontilled umbrella in outstanding, ALL ORIGINAL condition that the winning bidder should be very pleased with. So please be sure to check out all the photos carefully. As they too, are to be considered part of the description. Any other bottles shown are for the purposes of size and/or color comparison and are not included as part of this listing. You are only bidding to win the sea foam green umbrella ink. Thank you. Offered with NO RESERVE!! BEST of LUCK!!Payment through paypal or possibly by a different method (which must be discussed in advance andprior to your bidding) is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome andalso very much appreciated. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mailand on its way to you ASAP. Be sure to remember that any/all questions concerning this item mustbe asked prior to bidding. I want everyone to be sure of what they'll be getting and be happy withyour purchase. Bottle Auction: Ultra`Rare! 1860's, Square Bitters-type Bottle! "REILLY + LEAVY/ N.Y." Amber!

Ultra`Rare! 1860's, Square Bitters-type Bottle! "REILLY + LEAVY/ N.Y." Amber! Bottle Auction Description: This is an Exceptionally, Rare, Crude and Early, Mold-Blown, 1860's-Era, Square, Proprietary, Spirits, or Bitters-Type Bottle. ( I have never seen an example of this bottle, in over thirty-years of extreme bottle collecting and bottle show attendance). It is Square, in Shape, and features Beveled, Corners, and has Embossing on the Front Panel, which Reads: "REILLY + LEAVY/ NEW YORK" The Bottle is Very Crude, Looking, with all of the Charm of an Earlier American Blown bottle. It has Whittle-Marks, throughout, Bubbles, Large, Crooked, 19th. Century "Font" Lettering, and the Top is an Applied-Sloping Collar, which is Very Crude and Attractive. The Bottle is Very Similar, to the Commonly Seen, "C.A. RICHARDS/ BOSTON, MASS" Amber Square Bitters-Type Bottle, which is a documented Stoddard, N.H. Glass Industry-made bottle, and I suspect this bottle may be from the same maker or possibly Whitney Glass Works, in Millville N.J. CONDITION: It is in Very Good, Original, probably "Dug" Condition, some mild over-all cloudiness, w/ NO CRACKS, NO BRUISES, NO MAJOR DISTRACTIONS, There is a small area on one Base-Corner, which has some Rough-ness, possibly a superficial and shallow, flake,, that is hard to find, and not visible while the bottle is displayed,, but there are NO OTHER ISSUES. Bottle The bottle will, No Doubt Respond well, to a Good Professional Cleaning, or a "Tumbling" Embossing is Bold, and is Very Legible. Very Nice! Good Luck!

Bottle Auction: EXTMLY SCARCE~J.T. BROWN~CHEMIST~BOSTON~TORPEDO BOTTL/ROUND BOTM. SODA/MIN.WATER

EXTMLY SCARCE~J.T. BROWN~CHEMIST~BOSTON~TORPEDO BOTTL/ROUND BOTM. SODA/MIN.WATER Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Here up for bids is this EXTREMELY scarce Boston,Mass. Torpedo Water/round bottom Soda bottle and it's really cool in that it's also a Chemist bottle as well. The bottle looks to be in outstanding, near mint condition with only a few very light/fine scratches/scuffs and a tiny amount of high point wear to a few letters. Which are all very BOLD as you can plainly see. This is to be expected because if you haven't noticed yet,....This bottle HAS NO BASE!!! ( : I'm nearly 100% positive that this beautiful bottle has never been in the ground and has not been cleaned/tumbled either. BECAUSE,..... there's a small area of a little roughness to the mold seam that definitely happened in the making where a little glass extruded and if the bottle had been tumbled, you wouldn't be able to feel it.(see photo # 9) It looks to me as it's in all original condition with a very nicely applied blob of a lip, some stretch lines in the neck and if you look close, there are some swirl lines as well. I had been looking for a very nice stand to properly display this piece, but I wasn't able to find one thatI liked enough to purchase. So I'm going to leave that for the winning bidder to do now. Please know that in the main photo and also in the second, that little rainbow effect is being caused by some otherbottles I had lined up on the window sill and that's just a reflection of the colors. Since I thought it looked kind of nice, I just decided not to delete them and I chose to use them for the listing. Also take notice in photos #5,6,7 & 8, how the neck is off kilter. Just jog back and forth between the pics and it looks like the bottle's doing a little shimmy dance. So please view all of the photos carefully as they too are considered to be part of the description. And since this is a double soda water, I think it would only be fitting if you were to DOUBLE up on your bids.( : Offered with NO RESERVE!! BEST of LUCK!!Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome and isalso greatly appreciated. Other payment options are also possible, but would need to be discussed at least two full days before the end of the listing. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mail and on its way to you ASAP. If you have any questions concerning this item, theymust be asked before you enter a bid. If you have time, check out my other bottles listed and don't forget to keep checking back for more SWEET antique glass to come in the near future. THANKS andhave a great day! ( :

Bottle Auction: PERRINE'S APPLE GINGER PHILA~DEPOT No 37 Nth FRONT ST PHILADA~NICE DEEP COLOR

PERRINE'S APPLE GINGER PHILA~DEPOT No 37 Nth FRONT ST PHILADA~NICE DEEP COLOR Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Here up for bids is this awesome example of a Perrine's Apple Ginger semi-cabin figural with crude, misshapen panels and very desirable roped corners. What makesthis one stand apart, is that it's in a deep, rich color that's kind of difficult to call. But I'm going tosay that it's a blend of burnt orange with a chocolate overtone in lower light settings. PLUS, this one has the very scarce Depot No 37 Nth Front St embossing in combination with a TOOLED lip. Making this bottle VERY rare indeed. As is most always the case, if you have a Perrine's with the Nth Front St embossing, you're more than likely to have a bottle with an earlier style applied lip. Having one with the embossing and a tooled lip is pretty much unheard of. See any before?? As for condition, there's no damage that I can see, but there is a small spot of high point/rub wear on the apple (which is fairly common for an example that has never been tumbled) and aside from the base, there's extremely minimal wear. However, there are two short and light scratches on the side panel to the right that parallel each other and you should be able to see them clear enough in pic #5. If the new owner chooses to do so, the apple and the small scratches could probably be polished right out without affecting the integrity of the original surface. But overall, I would say that the bottle looks to have been attic stored and I'm sure that the winning bidder should be very pleased to own this example. Height is just slightly over 9 3/4 inches. Please look all 12 photos over carefully, as they too are to be considered as part of the description. This very attractive bottle is being offered to you WITHOUT RESERVE!! BEST of LUCK!!Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome and would also be highly appreciated. If you don't want to use paypal or don't have a paypal acct., other payment options must be agreed upon a few days in advance of the end of the listing.
