Bottle Auction: Antique Historical Flask Washington, Jackson

Antique Historical Flask Washington, Jackson Bottle Auction Description: Vintage historical flask bottle. Large bust profiles of Washington and Jackson. More common version with horizontal bars on lapels. Color is olive green. Measures 6.5" tall. Pontil mark on base. Light frosting of high relief points. No chips or cracks. There is what apperrs to be a defect that likely occurred during the manufacturing process when a piece of hot glass from the pontil rod got imbedded in the base of the bottle. I have posted pictures of it. This is not a chip, or a crack and only adds to the character of the bottle. I believe this may have been made at the Stoddard Glass Works circa 1840, but this is only a guess. A fine example of its kind and a reasonable reserve.

Bottle Auction: EXTREMELY RARE QUART RETENTIVE FRUIT JAR BLOWN AT THE LYNDEBOROUGH GLASS CO.

EXTREMELY RARE QUART RETENTIVE FRUIT JAR BLOWN AT THE LYNDEBOROUGH GLASS CO. Bottle Auction Description: An extremely rare quart size fruit jar that was blown from aqua blue glass at the Lyndeborough Glass Company in New Hampshire. It stands 6 3/4" w/o the lid and 7 3/16" with it on. The base diameter is about 3 3/4". The lip is sheared off and then ground. There is some flaking but it is all on the outside and not actual chips that go all the way through. There is a tiny little pressure crack here about 1/8" long which can be seen in photo #11. The super scarce lid was excavated at the site of the glass factory amid shards of these jars. It has a ramped outer edge rather than the ramped metal band used on the Puritan jars. The wire clamp probably pivoted in hole in the central circle. It is missing some glass. The base has a rounded outer edge that slopes inward to the high point that the jar sits on. From there it falls into a sunken circle that is rather flat at the center. The body is embossed vertically with 1/2" letters that simply reads; RETENTIVE . The glass has numerous small bubbles and at least two "nail head" mold marks. The jar is very clean. This is a wonderful and very hard to find jar that you will regret passing up. I will combine shipping for you. Thanks for looking! NOTE: I am wheelchair bound and can only get packages mailed a few times per week. Please be kind with your feedback as I will do my best to see that your purchase is shipped promptly.

Bottle Auction: LIBERTY EAGLE Willington Glass Company Connecticut Amber Flask No Res

LIBERTY EAGLE Willington Glass Company Connecticut Amber Flask No Res Bottle Auction Description: Liberty Eagle Willington Glass Company Connecticut Amber Flask ~ Embossed Eagle and Shield with Liberty Above ~About 7 5/8" high ~ about 3 3/4" across at the widest part of the shoulder This flask has just come from an estate sale here in Pittsburgh, it is hard to photograph to show what the true color is, it is amber but more yellow at top to more brown at the base. The embossing at the front is pretty good, the back with the wordsWILLINGTON GLASS CO WILLINGTON CONNis more shallow embossing, see pic. The base is smooth. In as found - as shown condition; there is no real damage except for age wear on the face as you can see in the sunlit pics; there is fine chipping all around the lip and scuffing to the bottom. The inside shows some dirt which could probably be cleaned out. Thanks for looking, No Reserve! Please see the other English / Historical Staffordshire / porcelain / pottery / soft paste / pearlware / creamware I have listed. On Aug-18-13 at 14:38:13 PDT, seller added the following information:Here is another view of the bottom; the weird area in the pic of the bottom (2 pics above) is a reflection of my finger. There is a line I can feel with my nail that runs from one end to the other but it doesn't go up the bottle so don't think its a crack, possibly a scratch or something done in the making. As I stated above, this is an 'as found' auction, I think there are enough pics to know what you're looking at.

Bottle Auction: Rare G.H. Armstrong Oval slug plate pontiled Philadelphia Porter

Rare G.H. Armstrong Oval slug plate pontiled Philadelphia Porter Bottle Auction Description: Up for auction is a rare G.H. Armstrong Oval slug plate pontiled Philadelphia porter embossed in an oval slugplate. Embossing is G.H. / ARMSTRONG / 327 Sh. St. Dark Green, Deep kick up Iron Pontil Base with no remaining iron, 6 3/4"H x 3"W, BIM, Applied Double Tapered Lip, American Circa 1840s. Condition is dug with overall staining but no other damage. During the late 1840s these oval slug plate bottles became popular in Philadelphia and the surrounding towns. Currently there are 17 different embossed variations known from this mold. They are all considered rare and it would be quite the challenge to collect one of each known variation. I believe this is the first time one of these Armstrong's have been offered for public sale.

Bottle Auction: extremely rare EX-GREER KEYSTONE LINIMENT DR NEER PATERSON NJ open pontil

extremely rare EX-GREER KEYSTONE LINIMENT DR NEER PATERSON NJ open pontil Bottle Auction Description: **EX-GREER****#1003** I am listing these as ten day auctions because I will be out of town from Mon Aug-5th until Thursday evening Aug-9th, please try to ask questions before then****DESCRIPTION:Listed as extremely rare in Greer, it is an aqua oval 4 1/8" tall, open pontil embossed " KEYSTONE LINIMENT DR NEER PATERSON NJ ". In all of Chris's years of tracking pontiled meds, this is the only example in his book. This might be your last chance to acquire an example, and it is Ex-Greer to boot****CONDITION: using the Greer description, it is mint, but I'll add it is sparkling and whittled, the glass just shimmers. These bottles all came out of the late Chris Vincent's collection. I am selling these for his wife Jan, all net proceeds go directly to her. Jan hated to part with these, but it became a necessity. For those of you who knew Chris, you know he was passionate about pontil meds, kept extensive records, and in the last few years was collecting Ex-Greer bottles. He diligently kept track ofthe variants & prices, constantly updating his records at shows & with auction results. I was fortunate enough to get a copy once, at that time he had over 1200 pontils meds in his book. He had hoped to publish it someday, but unfortunately time ran out. Chris was also a digger, we subscribed to the privy diggers newsletter in the early 1990's. If you sent in a pic of yourself in the hole, they would you send you a "PHD", for privy hole digger. He got his and used it in his ebay name "PHDCHRIS", it got a lot of responses from people wondering what his doctorate was. A picture with Chris in the middle, I am on the left, and Tony "POOCH" Panepucci on the right Paypal accepted, please email me for any other payment options. My flat rate for shipping includes insurance. I do combine multiple items won, the shipping charges for multiple purchases will be as close to cost as I can figure them including insuranceI have a simple return policy, I'll take it back, no questions asked, and will refund the original payment totally including original shipping. Bottle Auction: Antique Stoneware: *NR* Rare 12-Sided Blob Top Beer Bottle, A. WAGNER, ca.1870

Antique Stoneware: *NR* Rare 12-Sided Blob Top Beer Bottle, A. WAGNER, ca.1870 Bottle Auction Description: An early 12-Sided Blob Top Beer Bottle, American, ca.1870, or earlier. Features a rich, brown Salt-Glaze; impressed on the shoulder: A. WAGNER. There are several inclusions and general glaze imperfections created at the time of manufacture, and some roughness on the spout; otherwise in excellent overall condition with no repaired damage. Please note that the scar (left side, center) was the result of a large inclusion/stone pop that is still embedded (see close-up). A mold-formed, 12-Sided stoneware bottle was patented in 1847 by Merrill Pottery (Akron, OH), but the clay and unusual glaze color on this bottle indicate possibly a New York origin. In either case, this is an exceptional find that will display prominently in your Antique Bottle or Stoneware collection. Please see photos for details and further description. Measures 3-1/2"W x 10-3/4"H overall, and heavy; weighs approximately 2.6 lbs! There is No Reserve on this Keeper. Good Luck, and be sure to browse my other Auctions ending soon!Posted with eBay MobilePosted with eBay Mobile
