Bottle Auction: THE BEST GII-88 1/2 Pint Stoddard Double Eagle Flask!

THE BEST GII-88 1/2 Pint Stoddard Double Eagle Flask! Bottle Auction Description: I have owned a few of these over the years, but I do not recall ever having one quite this nice... it is a beautiful and perfect example! This is a wonderful little 1/2 pint (GII-88) EAGLE / EAGLE flask with the dots in the ovals. This flask was blown at the Granite Glass Company in Stoddard, NH, circa 1850s. The color is a nice LIGHTER olive amber color with "honey" tones. The glass has many little seedy bubbles in it and an extremely strong impression. The surface is free of any highpoint wear... certainly a tough bottle to find this nice! This is the varient with the large and small dots in the ovals (both sides), and listed in McKearin's as a GII-88. Nice tubular pontil base and sheared and refired lip. Excellent condition!! One of the BEST little 1/2 pint "Stoddard" Patriotic Eagle historical flasks that I have ever seen! Don't miss this one. Buyer pays shipping. 7 day return policy if not as described. Bottle Auction: RARE! CLEAR W.H. WARE FISH BITTERS BOTTLE LQQK!!

RARE! CLEAR W.H. WARE FISH BITTERS BOTTLE LQQK!! Bottle Auction Description: Here is a RARE top shelf figural bitters bottle that any serious collector of bitters, whiskey, wine, liquors, beer or medicine bottles should have in thier collection. Why pay the rediculous 10% to 20% buyers premiums that online auctions or auction houses routinely charge? You can get the same quality here for no buyers premium. Back to this fabulous flask. It is an original fish bitters bottle from the 1870's or 1880's. These bottles are more common in amber. It is very hard to find a clear one. Other rare colors are olive green, aqua, yellow, and of course the Holy Grail is cobalt blue. This bottle is 11 1/2" tall. It is pretty heavy glass. It is embossed on one gill: W.H. WARE PATENTED 1866. The embossing is a little lighter towards the end of WARE and PATENTED AND THE 1866 IS FAINT. Also there is case wear on 1866. The other side says: THE FISH BITTERS. The base is also embossed: WH WARE PATENT 1866. tHERE IS NORMAL BASE WEAR. The lip treatment on this one is different from others I have seen. This one has a sqared off lip. Others I have seen have a round lip. I don't see any sracks in the glass. There are a lot of bubbles. Some appear to be open on the inside of bottle. There is one on tiny spot on the tail that looks like an open bubble. I ddo not think it is a chip. I have it pictured the best I could get it. There is a mark on the W in WARE. It has some blask in it and I can't tell if it is a flaw or tiny nick. I have it pictured. There is another spot like it on the first row of scales that I have pictured. Again, I can't tell if it is a flaw or nick. This bottle is at least 130 years old and as you know factory flaws were common back then. The glass appears to be crystal clear and clean. Don't miss the opportunity to add this sparkling gem to your collection. I will require the high bidder to pay for insurance on this bottle. I will have to calculate cost at end of auction and add it to shipping charges. I will not ship this without insurance! Please, no offers to buy this bottle early. I wiil let it run the entirety of a 5 day auction with no reserve and it will go to the high bidder. Shipping will be a fixed price of $15 within the lower 48 states. This will cover cost of extra packaging materials to ensure safe shipping. Don't forget, high bidder has to agree to pay extra for required insurance on this bottle. Check my other auctions for more bottles. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items. Ring F-45 11 ½". There are a number of different colors of these terrific figurals, and one of the most rare is this clear with a touch of ice blue. This bottle sold in the Glassworks Auction, February of 1993 from the Dan Murphy collection. It was described as smoky clear at that time, but we feel that when you look in to the solid glass base in sunlight, it more resembles a slight bluish hue. There is just a hint of wear around the base but it is still in keeping with a Mint 9 bottle. One of the best around. Est. $2000-3000. Bottle Auction: Label under glass back bar bottle, Kit Carson Whiskey

Label under glass back bar bottle, Kit Carson Whiskey Bottle Auction Description: Early American Label Under Glass Back Bar Bottle. This circa 1880 - 1910 bottle could have been used in most any saloon in the old west. This clear glass bottle is 11 5/8"h, with a hand finished lip. A recessed panel on the front has a paper label under the glass that says 'Kit Carson Whiskey / (a very graphic image of a frontiersman with muzzleloader rifle holding onto the reins of his horse), below this image is 'Wood, Pollard & Co. / Boston'. The bottle is in perfect condition. Some discoloration to the label exists, mostly along the top. Also several hairline cracks exist in the thin glass that covers the label. To our knowledge this is a very rare back bar bottle. ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Do you collect Back Bar Bottles and Whiskey related items? L.Q.C. WISHART'S - PINE TREE TAR CORDIAL - PHILA Bottle Auction Description: For your bidding consideration is this lovely Wishart's Pine Tree Tar Cordial bottle. It is 7 and 3/4 inches tall. This Pine Tree is in a beautiful deep olive yellow color which easily passes light. It has been lightly cleaned to original luster and near perfect condition. If you are looking for a nice no-problem example of this bottle to add to your Pine Tree or medicine bottle collection - this may be the one. These early variants are not easy to get. best BLOWN EARLY ENGLISH BLACK GLASS WINE BOTTLE 1750 Bottle Auction Description: rhusrluk rhusrluk Antiques in good taste - harmic.littleA superb condition, early English cylinder / late mallet wine bottle of dark green tint and attractive 'wobbly' cylinder form with a long pulled neck, rounded shoulders, a tooled rim and string rim set just below the neck; the underside with a deep 'kick-up' and sand pontil mark; circa 1740 - 1760.  A beauty!  This is an immaculate condition, highly collectable mid-eighteenth century English black glass cylinder wine bottle which would represent a superb acquisition for someone wanting a perfect mid-eighteenth century English wine bottle.During the middle of the eighteenth century the wine bottle as we know it started life as a heavy, globular space-consuming container. As the century progressed and more and more individuals developed their own wine cellars, the cylinder evolved into the paradigm cylinder form for various converging reasons: ease of storage in large metal or wooden racks; maximizing of space, and the preservation of the wine itself.

Bottle Auction: Blood Red SARATOGA STAR SPRING Qt STODDARD FOR SURE!!!

Blood Red SARATOGA STAR SPRING Qt STODDARD FOR SURE!!! Bottle Auction Description: This "quart" mineral water bottle appears very dark, until you put a little sunlight into it. Then the blood red Stoddard glass really sparkles. The more light, the more it shines. The glass is extremely whittled and seedy, and the embossing is bold and crude. It reads "SARATOGA - (image of star) - SPRING". The "S" in "SPRING" is backwards. You can run your hand over the bottle and feel the whittle marks. By the way, you won't get the impression of "black glass" when you examine this bottle. There are variants of the Star Spring bottles, some golden amber, and they are very pretty. I kept this bottle for years because of the redness and the whittle marks. It is in pretty much mint condition - no chips, cracks, or bruises. There is no haze. The double collared top is applied. The bottle was blown into a two piece mold, and stands about 9 3/8" tall, and the base is smooth, with a raised dot in the center, and another less defined raised dot, off center. The base measures about 3 3/4" across, and has plenty of wear. Folks, this is an excellent bottle, and I could really show the glass better if I had a 200 watt bulb to backlight it. I guarantee the bottle to be as described, and am quite sure you will be very happy with it! Thank-you.

Bottle Auction: 1900 HONOLULU HAWAII TERRITORY "PEACOCK & CO" SODA CAP

1900 HONOLULU HAWAII TERRITORY "PEACOCK & CO" SODA CAP Bottle Auction Description: You are bidding on a RARE ANTIQUE porcelain "soda cap" (or similar) issued by "W.C. PEACOCK & CO." once located in Honolulu, H.T. (Hawaii Territory)I believe this is very old (estimate 1885-1915) and I am not quite sure what this cap went to. Typically, this kind of cap would have been for "soda water" or similar product, but the only Peacock bottles I have personally owned were either whiskey or gin bottles. Also note the phrase "compliments of"...perhaps this went on a soda water sample? This came out of a collection of Hawaiian bottles.Old advertising cap is white porcelain with red lettering, round, about 30mm wide x 12mm tall (typical old soda cap size) and it displays beautifully with minor rust stains, etc. (please see pictures in gallery) I can find no damage, it displays nicely.Porcelain bottle cap says: "COMPLIMENTS OF W. C. PEACOCK & CO. HONOLULU"Just love this antique Hawaii Territorial soda cap. Believe it is scarce, it displays nicely. Will be packed in an oversized rigid box to assure it arrives to you safely. Thanks so much for looking....collect and invest in history!!!!! Bottle Auction: Reed Liquor G.A.R. scratch mini jug Louisville Kentucky

Reed Liquor G.A.R. scratch mini jug Louisville Kentucky Bottle Auction Description: Up for auction is a great scratch mini jug incised: Compliments of / C. E. Reed / Pure Wines & Liquors / Louisville, Ky. / 29th / Encampment / G. A. R. Maybe this is a common mini jug in Kentucky but it's the first combination of a liquor dealer and the G.A.R. that I've seen. A great jug that was well made with the overall brown slip coloration. Stands just under 3" tall. Has a sizable chip on the lip as shown, otherwise in super condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing or other damage of any kind. Nice go-with for the Civil War collector. Please email me if you have any questions. Please add $8 for insured U. S. shipping. No damaged merchandise in 26 years of shipping as your item will be well packed. 7 day return privilege if this jug is not as I described. The last time I checked it was still a free country so you can pay me with any method you choose, with Pay Pal being my last choice. Email me about other payment options. NO INTERNATIONAL SALES, unless you email me well in advance. Thanks for looking!

Bottle Auction: S.O. RICHARDSON'S BITTERS SOUTH READING MASS Pontil

S.O. RICHARDSON'S BITTERS SOUTH READING MASS Pontil Bottle Auction Description: I'm pleased to report that I can't find any problems with this beautiful pontil-scarred bitters bottle, other than a teensy nick on the side of the lip edge, about the size of a pin-head! The bottle stands just over 6 1/2" tall. The glass is crystal clean, the embossing is bold, there are whittle marks galore, and the pontil is well formed with the mold line passing through diagonally. There are 8 actual panels or sides to the bottle, with four sides being embossed as follows: "S.O. RICHARDSON'S - BITTERS - SOUTH READING - MASS". The outward rolled lip is beautifully made, and there is a large bubble on the shoulder. There are two in-the-making horizontal lines that pretty much encircle the neck. This is a very nice example of a good Massachusetts bitters bottle. Thank-you.

Bottle Auction: DR CRONKS SARSAPARILLA, NS. WHEELER - FULL IRON PONTIL

DR CRONKS SARSAPARILLA, NS. WHEELER - FULL IRON PONTIL Bottle Auction Description: Scarce DR CRONKS SODA, approx. 7 1/2" tall. Medium bluish aqua color. Crude drippy applied tapered top, full iron pontil with kick-up base. Strongly embossed DR CRONK.S SARSAPARILLA on the front. NS. WHEELER embossed on the back. Probably Ohio or West Va. I think it was tumbled, but not heavy, because there is no heavy scratches or ground wear. No dings, cracks or stain. There is a smooth 1/2" long inside shallow lip chip or flake (shown in last 2 pics). This is not distracting and does not show on display, the lip is so crude, it blends in. A NICE EARLY, RARE DR CRONKS SODA!

Bottle Auction: KILLER Colored Pontiled Coventry,CT Blacking L@@K W@W

KILLER Colored Pontiled Coventry,CT Blacking L@@K W@W Bottle Auction Description: ITEM# RCBLK19 New England Utility Blacking Bottle. 4 /8" tall with a base width of 1.75". Sheared and fire polished lip. Classic blacking bottle mold. Open pontiled scar base. A rich shade of olive amber glass. Tremendous texture, feel and character with whittles, dimples and some light waves. A distinct feature is a circular indentation on one side. This has long been attributed to the Coventry Glassworks, circa 1813-1848. A local labeled example I handled had the same rivet in the mold. There is an ultra thin annealing line that travels through 3 sides. It's absolutely in the making but mentioned for complete accuracy as always. It displays beautifully. This is a fine Connecticut blacking bottle offered with NO RESERVE. Please see my other auctions this week for some more great bottles. Thanks and check back in....RC
