Bottle Auction: Iron Pontilled "Old Dr J Townsends Sarsaparilla New. York." Nice Color Super

Iron Pontilled "Old Dr J Townsends Sarsaparilla New. York." Nice Color Super Bottle Auction Description: For your consideration is this iron pontilled and nicely applied top "Old Dr J Townsends / Sarsaparilla / New. York." in the larger size. I would say the bottle is a blue green in color, more lighter blue than green. Hammered with whittle and in excellent condition. Look closely at the pictures and I think you will agree, the condition is awesome. Has a couple medium sized bubbles, none open inside or out. If you've been looking for a Townsend's in a lighter color, don't pass this one up, they don't come much nicer. I've took pictures in incandescent light, with back light (bright) and held to the sky, so you can see the bottle in various lighting. Very nice waviness to the glass which can be felt and seen. Top shelf specimen for most any collector. Standing 10 1/8" tall, this example has a longer neck than commonly seen, and does not appear to be a dug bottle, nor do I believe it's been tumbled. Just the way it was made some 150 years ago. No chips, cracks, dings, or stain. No reserve, bid with confidence, I guarantee the bottle to be as described, an would make a super addition to anyone's collection, entry level or advanced collector. Please see pictures for full description. This is a no reserve auction. Please see my feedback rating, you will not be disappointed in this bottle. This auction is only for the "Townsend" bottle only. Bottle Auction: Montana Harry's Seguah Indian Oil Big Timber Montana (Unique!)

Montana Harry's Seguah Indian Oil Big Timber Montana (Unique!) Bottle Auction Description: This is a clear bottle standing 7". It is embossed REGISTERED as seen from the front and I believe Half Pint under the label. It has a very unusual and possibly rare label which says MONTANA HARRY'S / SEGUAH / INDIAN OIL / RELIEVES RHEUMATISM, CONTRACTED CORDS, HEADACHES, EARACHE, TOOTHACHE, AND ACHES AND PAINS. It gives directions, price fifty cents, and says NO SATISFACTION NO PAY. On the other side it gives the contents as oil of cedar, oil of organium, and SKUNK OIL amongst others. It is from BIG TIMBER MONTANA. On the reverse side it is essentially in french with specific instructions for removing corns, and warts. The bottle could use a cleaning but out of respect for the label I did not attempt it. The bottle was blown in a mold. The label has some dog ear and 3 small tears but most all words are visible. This bottle was purchased at a flea market exactly as is.

Bottle Auction: RARE circa 1853-54 Mckay * Balto altered mold, pontiled soda bottle !

RARE circa 1853-54 Mckay * Balto altered mold, pontiled soda bottle ! Bottle Auction Description: Up for offers now with NO reserves and a low starting bid, is another of several lots of antique, blob, pontiled, or stoneware soda and beer bottles we are posting this week. This auction is for one bottle only. The other bottles shown in the group color and size comparison photos, are currently being offered in separate eBay listings. This auction is for the 7 & 1/2" tall, medium green pontiled soda bottle with applied, tapered blob lip. It is embossed on the front side " McKAY ( the "c" being smaller and raised ) / * ( 8 pointed star symbol cut into the mold over top of a previously embossed "&" symbol) / (blank rectangular slug plate with rivet scars cut into the mold over the previously embossed name "CLARK") / BALTo (the "o" being smaller and raised). The back side of the bottle is heavily embossed with large capital letter "B". James McKay & John Clark jointly operated a small soda and beer bottling operation in downtown Baltimore, Maryland from about 1850 to 1853, before separating the business and operating independently. This bottle would date to the period right after their separation, as evidenced from the mold being reworked to remove the Clark name. This is a dug bottle with some exterior groundwear in spots and the shallow 1/2" long chip on the top edge of the blob lip as shown in the photos. This bottle is more commonly known from smooth based examples, with this being only the 3rd pontiled example I am aware of, and the nicest condition of those 3, which I had kept for my own collection. Please see my other current Ebay auctions for more antique bottles, excavated relics, and neat old stuff. Payment for these auctions should be received by me within 6 days of auction closing please. I accept Paypal and possibly other forms of payment per your requests and Ebay policies. If you win multiple auctions I will gladly and carefully combine the items into one package to reduce the shipping costs. Shipping costs will vary depending upon your location, and are based on Ebay's online shipping calculators for US Priority Mail, and estimated package weight. A $2.50 handling charge is automatically added by Ebay to the calculated shipping cost, and due to the fragile nature of these items and Ebay's policies, this handling charge is used to insure all shipments by either the US Postal Service or other means. We use this method so that all packages are insured, and that you know the actual shipping costs to your location as you place your bids. I will ship internationally to buyers who use Paypal, and I require that the winning international bidder email me promptly upon auction completion with their shipping address, so that I may get a shipping quote to their country from the US Postal service, and email them back with the total payment due including the shipping. Have some fun with these NO RESERVE auctions, and good luck!Thank you.

Bottle Auction: EXT RARE COCA BITTERS BOTTLE ~ SUPER WHITTLED DAZZLING LIGHT YELLOW AMBER COLOR

EXT RARE COCA BITTERS BOTTLE ~ SUPER WHITTLED DAZZLING LIGHT YELLOW AMBER COLOR Bottle Auction Description: ~*PLEASE SEE SHIPPING TERMS BELOW*~* Other Forms of Payment Accepted Here *-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- *Up for sale here is an extremely rare and important bitters bottle in a dazzling very light yellow honey amber shade, with loads of deep and defining whittling hammered all over the bottle, as seen here. The color is dead on with most of the pictures, with the crude and uneven glass being sparkling clean, with a hint of the lightest amount of patchy inner content haze. The glass just dances with character and color that will never quit. Unfortunately it does have a couple of minor lip issues that need to be addressed here. Both are flat chips with no cracks or dings coming off from them, as they are clean chips (see pictures). These can be easily repaired as they are are on the back side, and bottle displays handsomely as it sits. From the front this dazzling bottle displays perfectly. It has the drippy applied tapered collared top with strong but thin embossing. It reads on the one panel only ~ "COCA BITTERS". It has the beveled edges and measures 8 3/8" tall and 2 3/8" square. This example was never in the ground or in the tumbler, and looks to be an 'attic find'. This bottle was distributed by the Quina Coca Company out of New York, once located on 72 Williams Street in the late 1870's to about 1880. It contained spirits of coca leaf or erythroxyline. This was an excellent nervous sedative and a life giving invigorant for uplifting energy and vigor. Bottle looks better in person and you will be very well pleased with it. A great overall example despite the lip chipping when it was probably originally opened to indulge the contents. An awesome addition for any bottle collection, as the color, rarity and crudity truly take the cake here. Please see all the pictures as they tell the full story. *Combined shipping will be offered if necessary. *Please check out the other bottles and items that I have listed here and the best of luck. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- *Paypal and other forms of valid payment accepted, ($10.50) Flat rate shipping anywhere in the U.S.A., Except for Hawaii and Alaska, (Shipping costs will be reduced for multiple items), I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS ONCE SHIPPED, UNLESS INSURANCE IS PURCHASED. *(Please wait for me to send you the invoice with the correct amount), More if Overseas to Europe and Australia ect. ($35.00), Canada will be ($16.00), Seven Day Return, Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of this listing, *And thanks for looking.

Bottle Auction: Beautifully Colored Western Bitters-Henley's IXL

Beautifully Colored Western Bitters-Henley's IXL Bottle Auction Description: Here is a spectacular example of this ever popular western bitters...it is also the last of three which I am offering.. This is the earliest variant of the Dr. Henley's Wild Grape Root IXL Bitters, without the circle around the IXL. Circa. 1868-69. The top is crudely applied, and the entire bottle is hammered with heavy whittle effect. There are loads of large and small bubbles, and the color is a brilliant deep turquoise. Condition is mint as made, with a small blob of amber glass stuck to the inside of the neck, with a tiny cooling check across the inside of the amber blob. Otherwise, this gorgeous bitters is pristine San Francisco glass. Never cleaned, or polished. A beautiful and early western bitters in a drop dead color!
