Bottle Auction: A Fine 18th Century Dutch Onion Black Glass Wine Bottle, circa 1730

A Fine 18th Century Dutch Onion Black Glass Wine Bottle, circa 1730 Bottle Auction Description: rhusrluk rhusrluk Antique glass in good taste - harmic.littleA wonderful condition 18th Century Dutch black glass onion form wine bottle, circa 1700 - 1730. This free blown bottle is deep, dark olive green in color. The form is an early true globular / bulbous, onion shape. It has a high cone shape kicked up underside; a sharp, circular pontil scar; and a tapering neck with an applied overlapping string rim. Typically, these early wine bottles have minor cracks or chips. The condition of this bottle is excellent with NO chips, dings, or cracks. The surface is clean and bright, especially for a nearly 300 year old bottle, but with some surface wear and scratches (shown in photos provided).    If you are looking for a distinguished, unpolished, and legitimate early 18th century wine bottle, they don't get much better.  Height of the bottle is approximately 7 3/8 inches and the body diameter is 5 5/8 inches. For further information see Roger Dumbrell, Understanding Antique Wine Bottles, 1983, p. 136. This bottle will make a wonderful early 18th century decorative accessory, a decanter for actual use in serving wine, or a highlight addition to your dealer inventory.  This is a desirable antique wine bottle that will look great on an early scrub top tavern table. Thanks for looking, tracking, bidding, and book-marking this fine 18th century tavern bottle.   SELLING TO THE HIGH BIDDER WITHOUT RESERVE! Insurance is included with shipping. Bottle Auction: FANTASTIC! TOP SHELF! Indian Maiden/Queen BROWN'S CELEBRATED INDIAN HERB BITTERS

FANTASTIC! TOP SHELF! Indian Maiden/Queen BROWN'S CELEBRATED INDIAN HERB BITTERS Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. If you're looking for one of the best possible examples of theIndian Queen/Maiden, Brown's Celebrated Indian Herb Bitters, then look no further. You have FOUNDone. First, let me mention that this is an antique bottle that was made in the 19th century (1800's) and is well over 100 years old. This bottle is very near perfect and I'm going to categorize it as being in MINT AS MADE condition. There is a small, egg shaped, in the making, exposed bubble directly under the right forearm near the flowing skirt on the back which is totally unseen when displayed. The rolled lip is absolutely PERFECT!! Those of you who are in the know, KNOW how difficult it is to find one with a perfect lip. These bottles are normally plagued by lip issues. Not THIS one!! Not only that, but this one has an exceptional and outstanding mold impression. One of the strongest I've ever come across. Most of the ones encountered, have facial features that are on the weak side and all kind of melt together. WAIT....it gets even BETTER. The glass has beautiful shading and is a real eye catcher when you have it in a bright, sunny window. A very nice lighter golden honey yellow in the shoulders, arms and upper torso. Then a little deeper in the mid-section, then lightening up again just a bit in the lower fringes of the skirt and the knees. I just want to let you all know that I paid quite the hefty sum for this one and it was definitely worth it. Due to a few hits I've had to take recently, I feel that I need to put a reserve price on this bottle. I don't like using reserves, but in this case, I believe that it's justified. I don't mind disclosing what that reserve price is, so if you're seriously interested in getting this wonderful bitters bottle, just send me a quick message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you and GOOD LUCK!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcome andgreatly appreciated. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mail ASAP. Please ask questions prior to bidding. If you have the time, check out my other items and keep watching for more bottles and other coolstuff to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day! ( :

Bottle Auction: Antique Glass Cannon Figural Bitters Whisky Bottle

Antique Glass Cannon Figural Bitters Whisky Bottle Bottle Auction Description: An unusual antique glass bottle shaped like a cannon. The bottle is just under 13" tall and is what I would call tobacco amber in color. I have seen these early cannon bottles online embossed as Bitters and Whisky. However, this one is not embossed. They appear to date from the mid 1800s. The condition is very good. There are no cracks, chips or cloudiness in the glass. There is one small burst bubble above one of the molded glass knobs on the side of the bottle. There are two pinpoint nicks on the shoulder and some pinpoint nicks around the mouth edge. There are some light scratch marks here and there over the body. These are all minor and mentioned for accuracy. A great addition for the bitters, whisky or figural bottle collector. A recent estate purchase and new to the market. The bottle will be shipped Priority Post and Insurance is required based on the sale price. Boxed weight is Appx 2 lbs.- 3 lbs.US buyers only please. I don't know what the correct value of this bottle is so I will let the auction run. No BIN offers please.

Bottle Auction: EXCEPTIONAL GX-3 1/2pt. Sheaf of Rye/Cluster of Grapes historical flask GEM MINT

EXCEPTIONAL GX-3 1/2pt. Sheaf of Rye/Cluster of Grapes historical flask GEM MINT Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. If you're looking for one of the BEST possible examples of theGX-3 Sheaf of Grain/Cluster of Grapes 1/2 pint flask, then there's really no need to keep searchingbecause HERE it IS!!! Not a scratch or scuff on it!! In McKearin's American Glass (first edition 1941)this little flask is listed as SCARCE. So if this flask was considered to be scarce way back then, withthe way that bottle collecting has grown since then, this has GOT to be re-evaluated as being a RAREflask in today's market. In the first two pictures, (for the purposes of size comparison only) the 1/2pint is shown next to a GV-4 pint Success to the Railroad flask which is in no way a part of this auction. The flask you'll be bidding on has been attributed to Coffin & Hay manufacturers of Hammonton,NJ and is highly collectible and sought after from an investment stand point. Lots of nice little bubbles, crude stretch/twist lines in the neck and a perfectly sheared and fire polished lip withan open pontilled base. Height is 5 3/8 inches. You can hold out if you want to, thinking that a better one will eventually come along, but I'm of the opinion that you'll most likely be old and grey (or BALD) before that happens. lol. So here it is, fresh to the market. Listed with NO RESERVE and a "buy it now" option of $500 for that one very knowledgeable person who wants to lock this one down and make sure it becomes a part of their collection, rather than risk losing out on it to someone else with deeper pockets. GOOD LUCK!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a quick payment is always welcomeand very much appreciated. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mailASAP. Please remember to ask questions before bidding. If you can spare a minute or two, take a look at my other items and keep watching for more bottlesand other cool stuff to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day.

Bottle Auction: ROHRER'S - EXPECTORAL / WILD / CHERRY / TONIC - LANCASTER PA

ROHRER'S - EXPECTORAL / WILD / CHERRY / TONIC - LANCASTER PA Bottle Auction Description: Here is a beautiful golden orange/yellow amber bitters bottle with great tones of red. " Rohrer's Expectoral Wild Cherry Tonic Lancaster Pa " It a very fancy figural bottle. This bottle looks to have possibly been dug. The color of this one is really what sets it apart from others more commonly found in your average brown/yellow amber. There are a few very light scuff marks on the back side of bottle and it has not been professionally cleaned, but if it were, it would become a sparkling mint condition example...! It has a nice applied top, light whittle, and some crudeness to the glass. Overall it's in outstanding condition for being a 140+ year old bottle, with only some basic case wear on a couple of the roped cornered edges, and the above mentioned minor scuff/scratch marks on the back panel that are very superficial, (pic #8). Very clean and shiny glass. Measuring just under 10 1/2" tall by 3 1/2" wide, x 2 1/2" deep. This bottle would be a gorgeous addition to your collection. Please see pictures for full description. Bid with confidence, you will not be disappointed in this bottle....!~ Jeremiah Rohrer is first listed in the Lantis Lancaster City Directoryfrom 1866-1867. He was listed as wines, liquors and Rohrer's Wild Cherry Tonic. His establishment (liquor store ) was located at 22 Penn Street Lancaster, Pa.In the same directory he is also listed under Herb Bitters Manufactures.

Bottle Auction: PRESSBURG WARNER'S SAFE CURE - EXCEPTIONAL COLOR WSC 224 FREE SHIPPING

PRESSBURG WARNER'S SAFE CURE - EXCEPTIONAL COLOR WSC 224 FREE SHIPPING Bottle Auction Description: WARNER'S SAFE CUREPRESSBURGPressburg Safe Cure bottle circa 1890's. This variation has no parentheses around the word SAFE. Here is what sets this Pressburg Warners apart from the others: This bottle has an exceptional "teel-ish light-green," coloration that jumps out with back-lighting, not the typical common olive green so often seen. The glass is loaded with whittling and crudity. Overall, the embossing is very good and even the words "Schutz Marke" (means Patented) are clearly readable on the safe. The bottle stands approximately 9-1/2 inches tall. There are no cracks or repairs. For accuracy, there is normal wear and some general overall surface scratching. There appears to be a very small, shallow open bubble containing trash (?) in the glass... it is not a crack and appears that it may be from the manufacturing (see photo). There is also a very minor, light area of residual on the inside (hardly noticeable). Note, I have not attempted to clean or alter the bottle in any manner, and it is in "as found" condition. This was my choice due to the rarity of the bottle and risk of damage. I will leave the decision to attempt any cleaning with the purchaser. While some sellers would not even mention these points, I have done my best to describe the ACTUAL condition. The rarity and scarce coloration of this bottle clearly outweighs any flaws. I would rate this bottle overall a strong 8-9 on a scale of 10 for condition and a 10 for rarity. Undoubtedly worthy of top shelf.Pressburg was the city name under the Austro-Hungarian empire for what is now Bratislava, Slovakia. Pressburg is also known as Pozsony during later Hungarian rule. The Pressburg office of Hubert H. Warner's empire only produced bottles for a short time, from 1889-1892, before closing due to financial difficulties. Due to the short nature of production, very few Pressburg bottles are in circulation. This is a very nice example with fantastic embossing and would be an upgrade to most collections. Your satisfaction guaranteed. If not satisfied or you believe the bottle to be other than described, return it within 7 days of receipt and I will gladly refund your money and split shipping costs. All items packed EXTREMELY WELL against damage. Shipping within the Continental USA: FREE! International Bidders: Please Inquire Before Bidding (estimated cost to Europe is $40) DUE TO THE RARITY, INSURANCE IS MANDATORY AND FOR THE SALE PRICE PLUS 10% FOR HANDLING. I ONLY SHIP USPS PRIORITY INSURED WITH DELIVERY TRACKING. I HAVE NO HIDDEN FEES OR OTHER CHARGES BEYOND THE STATED SHIPPING COST (WHICH IS FREE IN THIS AUCTION). IF IT COSTS ABOVE THE QUOTED PRICE, I WILL PAY IT. IF YOU ARE INTERNATIONAL AND NEED OTHER PAYMENT OPTIONS, PLEASE INQUIRE.CHECK OUT MY OTHER BOTTLES. I will be listing many Warner's, including a variety of labeled Frankfurt Warners, a labeled Tippecanoe bitters, some fantastic Uranium Glass Apothecary Jars, misc blackglass, sealed bitters, and much much more in the coming weeks! Bottle Auction: Antique, ceramic, ca 1890, multiple fancy bordered, Bears grease jar lid pot lid

Antique, ceramic, ca 1890, multiple fancy bordered, Bears grease jar lid pot lid Bottle Auction Description: You are bidding on a late 19th century Bears grease pot lid. As you can see, very appealing multiple fancy bordered lid! It measures just over 3 1/4" in diameter. No base section provided. I listed this lid previously but with the oversight of missing that some professional work (not commissioned by me) had been done on the flange. It is really excellent work, and the lid is perfectly balanced and symmetrical. It is hard to tell exactly what was done, given that I did not commission the work, but it seems it is confined to the flange with maybe a smidgen of work on the outer edge of the face. The actual face transfer itself appears outstanding. That is the best I can describe it. This lid still presents superbly. Please check pics.Very appealing Bears grease lid...very seldom seen and a great addition to any collection!FOR VIEWERS WHO MAY NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH THESEDELIGHTFUL LITTLE LIDDED JARS....THEY WERE USED BETWEEN APPROX. 1840-1920 TOMARKET VARIOUS PRODUCTS WHICH CAME IN A PASTE FORM. Bottle Auction: UNCOMMON color STRONG impression Xceptional condition! GI-31 WASHINGTON/JACKSON

UNCOMMON color STRONG impression Xceptional condition! GI-31 WASHINGTON/JACKSON Bottle Auction Description: WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Here's a very nearly "attic" mint GI-31 Washington/Jackson pint size historical flask in an uncommon deep olive green color with a bit of an amber tone mixed in. When up on a shelf without any light from behind, this appears to be almost black. These are most commonly found in a medium to a light honey amber and many examples have a significantly weakermold impression. It's certainly not every day, that you are fortunate enough to encounter one in this hardly seen color. Not to mention the fabulous condition that this one is in. I can see no signs of wear at all on the Washington side (it seems clear to me that he was a little more respected than Jackson) and just a slight touch of minimal high point along with a couple of very light, small and fine scratches on the Jackson side. I'm not going to go into one of my usually lengthy descriptions. The pictures can and DO speak for themselves. NO RESERVE and GOOD LUCK!! Payment through paypal is expected within a week's time, but a fast payment is more than welcome and also highly appreciated. I don't want to have to start putting reserves on these bottles, but dueto some pretty substantial losses (because it seems like most of the bidders just aren't stepping up to the plate. Maybe the money's getting short from buying up too many inferior bottles) lol. I'm not selling off some of my better bottles in the hopes that I'm going to LOSE money on them. So we'll see how this one goes and hopefully, you all can redeem yourselves. Or else it's time to start usingreserves. Once payment clears, I'll do my best to get your package in the mail ASAP. Please ask questions before placing a bid. If you have a little time to spare, have a look at my other items and keep checking back for more bottles and other cool stuff to come in the near future. THANKS and have a great day! ( :On Aug-30-14 at 13:33:55 PDT, seller added the following information:I would just like to let everyone know, because someone had questioned me if the color was as green as what the pictures show. So when I uploaded these pictures, on my screen, they look just about right on. But computer screens/monitors can vary a bit in the way the color is seen. I don't want anyone to be disappointed in regards to the color, but when I see the bottle on my shelf with natural daylight coming in from behind, it doesn't appear to be all that green. But there definitely was/is olive mixed into the glass batch, but it also has a decent amount of amber also. If there is anyone who wants to cancel their bid because of this, I perfectly understand. I just want you to be happy with your item. THANK YOU.
